It's gonna have to cycle and it's going to take some time. You can always add your water change water to the tank. How long do you think it will take to cycle? I tested, and everything was fine. So after I tested I added two cups of tank water from my tank, and a small rock.
Even if everything tested ok?It's gonna have to cycle and it's going to take some time. You can always add your water change water to the tank.
It's freshly mixed water. It wouldn't pick anything up. You should notice ammonia first, the the rest to followEven if everything tested ok?
Should I add more live rock, and biospira? Or add more live rock, and a cup of my tank water every day? Or something different? It's freshly mixed water. It wouldn't pick anything up. You should notice ammonia first, the the rest to follow
I added another ok sized rock. I may be able to get one rock or two from petco. Will I need to leave the rock from my tank in there once its cycled?Yeah man you can do that.
Im gonna try to get some more tomorrow. Hopefully I can get a pound or two. Will that be enough? Or do I need more?Nah you shouldn't man. But the more live rock you put in the more it will help. My 120 didn't even go through a cycle due to putting live rock in the sump as well.
I planned on it haha. So if I put some on the middle chamber, and some in the tank it will be ok? Like maybe two or three pounds total?I think the recommended live rock to water ratio is 3 pounds per gallon. But you don't have to do that haha. A little bit should be fine. Also put some crumbled live rock pieces in your middle chamber in the filtration
Ok sweet man. Ill fill it with as much as I can, and put a little in the tank. Does it need a lot of holes?Yeah man you should be alright with that. The rock in the filter will help the most, it will make a good refuge for beneficial bacteria
