Most annoying thing your fish do ;)

Vlamingi tang always up in my face- Impossible to look at a coral or take a photo.
Culprits pulling my frags out occasionally

My Diamond Goby "Gomer" which I've had several years now and is about 4 inches long isn't happy with my red capping monti being nice and clean so he loves to grab a mouthful of sand regularly and swim over it like a B-52 bomber and unload..... I love his personality but he still ticks me off! Lol

I have a marineland tank with the corner overflow. I have 2 yellow and 1 green clown gobie. So pretty small. One day the green went missing, the last time I saw him he was huddled in the upper back corner (opposite side from the overflow. I just chucked it up to a loss. This was several months ago. Then one of yellows went missing. Then a couple of my ruby red dragonets.

finally I held a flashlight by the overflow corner. There was the green, yellow clown and a dragonette! Want sure how to get them out without dismantling the durso and return pipes. So some time went by and I see the dragonette isn’t there anymore. Found him in the sponge tray of my trigger sump, but he was stuck in some floss and didn’t make it. A week later I was cleaning the return section of my sump and found the other ruby red. After taking out all marinepure balls, I was able to net him and get him back in the tank. But it’s hard to imagine how he swam up the durso pipe, got thru the input column of the sump and then thru the fuge section over the baffle and down into the return section and not get stuck to the return pump grill. I’m guessing he got into the skimmer section because if the sponge Is dirty, the water just bypasses straight into skimmer section.

finally I got some long extension handled small nets from amazon and was able to grab the 2 clown gobies from the overflow corner. The green one was back in there thenext day

So I’m just sitting at my desk watching my tank. My blue star leopard wrasse comes up to the glass, stares at me for a solid 10 seconds then proceeds to swim up and jump out of the tank. I scramble to put him back in and whilst I’m doing this, I knock over a zoa frag, my royal gramma grabs it and takes it into its lair. I never saw it again.

I recently re-homed my problem child. Diamond Watchman Goby who incessantly piled all the sand from around the sunken ship in my DT, to inside the ship. I even added an extra 10-15 lbs. of sand and he piled that inside too! Not your typical make a divot here, little impact crater there kinda Goby thing. I'm talking full-blown earth-moving terraforming menace.
Finally gave up and found him a new home. Shovel-On Builder Bob! Just not in my tank anymore.

every month my clowns lay eggs in my huge torch colony.... they fan them to the point where their tail fins almost disappear from the rubbing between branches..... soon as clutch is gone (I don't raise them) tail fins regrow.... and they have another clutch.. repeat for the past 3 years...

What’s the most annoying thing your fish do?
For me I have a few things haha
1: one of my skunk clowns is hosting my H.Crispa while the other is hosting a Tonga branch on the complete other side of my 110g haha I really want them to pair up again
2:my coral beauty is very clumsy and any time it gets scared it swims frantically and usually bumps into a rock
3: my sleeper banded bullet goby always takes frags that fall into sand, drags them to his burrow and doesn’t spit them back out until the coral dies :( it’s so frustrating haha
Thankfully he’s only taken a few cheap mushrooms and Xenia frags so far

My biggest clown fish gets scared when I turn off the lights at night and bumps the lid at night just when I lay down and forces me to get up to check if he jump out. Also my yellow tailed damsel digs and covers my frags with sand or they get buried in the sand. It's so annoying.

bought a yellow shrimp goby so could have a pistol shrimp. Gosh knows where he is, just shows up in the front of the tank for 5 seconds every 6 weeks or so just to let me know he's still there and I can't get a replacement. Hate spending money on fish that disappear. Now my engineer gobies..I always know where they've just been as the rocks have moved.

Hello I'm new to the site and just set up my first nano aquarium. My fish aren't annoying but my hermet crabs are. They are apparently super strong and constantly knock my coral off rocks even the glued ones. I glued one several times and they knocked it off the rock with in 2 days.
Welcome! Yea hermits can be kinda annoying haha

I think that one of the most annoying thing that fish do is hide all of the time. I see it out in the open for a few months and then it goes and hides. My YWG/pistol shrimp is a prime example. I saw the shrimp a few days ago, but I haven't seen the goby for months. Even when I feed the other fish. I bought them in Feb/19. I love the goby. It just sucks that I never see it.
I feel this haha

most annoying for me is that all of my fish hang out in a 1 ft x 1 ft area in corner of my 90 gallon tank basically all the time.

Constant chasing that leads to splashing water all over the floor & back wall that can't be reached.
Finally put up barriers on the rear of the tank. Still if the tank ever goes the wall will need a repair.

my clownfish eat my corals like actually eat it if there soft corals

Blue tang waits until I finish cleaning the outside glass before it smacks the water surface spraying water everywhere

I have a Sixline that flips a small rock with frags glued to it on its top every single day.

I know not a fish, but my Urchin is the most annoying inhabitant with it tearing Zoas to wear as a hat along with snails. Constantly flipping and disrupting frags or smaller rocks. Knocking my Crocea clam off it’s rock.... If it wasn’t such an amazing algae cleaner I’d yank it!
