ETM used to sell a maintenance kit for the old MP40 wetside. Newer designs seem less 'modular' so no more kit.

Pick up a new dry side there not to pricy i have seen them for 70$ I believe on bulk reef supply or on another site but hey thats not to much $$$

I think the $70 you’re referring to is for the wet side. Wet sides cost $75, dry sides cost $200 for MP40s.

You CAN get a replacment M1 impeller. $10 plus shipping.

If it's any consolation, I've been running four QD units from the day they were first available and they all purr along like a kitten. One of the reasons I do not buy them used is that there is no way to know whether they were abused or used stupidly. Hopefully yours were not.

These are all like new, original box, original spacers included and apparently cleaned every other week and allowed to dry on a cloth diaper LOL..........Sometimes we have good luck!

I’m all for repairing equipment on your own, but always contact customer service before you take stuff apart. Ecotech Marine has hands down the best customer service. I had a wet side that I bought used and the magnet busted. They replaced it for free. I dropped a dry side and cracked it. Repaired it for 50 bucks. Had another dryside that was noisy. Replaced for free. Obviously sounds like the stuff is breaking a lot but I would rather it break and get new units within a day or two, than to be stuck with terrible customer service.

Replacement dry side fixed the issue. Definitely bad bearing on the dry side.

About to rebuild one of mine as well. Trying to figure out if this piece I’m holding is supposed to be a flat shim or a wave type shim? Off to look for bearings . . .
