My 10G nano AIO mixed

well the JF pirate blood zoas that i traded had zoa pox ended up in my trash can before any other got them too. the hollywood stunner had to move to a place where it gets less light, but the others are doping ok. NEw additions : Finally finally got a big turbo snail i was looking forward too now he can have as many helpings of algae as he wants ( he has done an excellent job cleaning up ), and i bought my first acan i welcome myslef to teh acan club jajaajaj. an acan was one of the corals i wanted to have sionce started the hobby seeing so many of them that look awsome, mine is blue with white a reddish orange center ( dont know how to explain color). ill post pictures as soon as i can. all i now is he can eat, i gavce him mysis 30 minutes later the feeding tentacles are out well he will stay like that until two days jajajaja.

Sorry i have been disconnected for a while its just that ive been studying for my CPA exam and is really stressing. But i managed to have a little for a little update
I got a purple dottyback and was too aggresive with the blue chromis so i gave the chromis to my friend who also has a nano.

i bought an acan and got a frag of king midas and green bay packer zoas

This zoa i bought today dont know the name but looks really cool

besides all the filtration the nano has i added an aquaclear 30 and modded it into a fuge with sand and chaeto and i cutted and built a samll acrylic box and put a led strip inside to light the cheato 24/7 ( the purpose of teh box is that it could be on and it wont disturb anybody

and here some of the corals i have for trading or sell if people want to buy instead of trade (i rather trade makes me feel better jajaj) these include a small finger leather a frag of 3 polyps of valentines day massacre zoa, 2 frags of fred flinstone zoa, and sa frag od 25+ polyps of some bluish purple with green skirt zoa, and a frag of the poor men hornets jajaja

Here is a look of the main part how it is now

OHH almost forgot i had an aipstasia break out in the 2nd chamber where the live rock was so i took it all out and replaced it with other live rock that i know are pest free from my LFS

I also managed to get a "Jason Fox Green Goddess Birds Nest" and a a small graf of "Tyree LE Sunset Montipora" to me these are my babies now jajaja( sorry the picturers dont do them any justice they were taken from my iphone

This zoanthids we have a joke me and my friends we call them "the poor men hornets" jajaja tehy are a local species here on Puerto Rico

a couple of diffrent zoas i managed to get my hands on also

and finally my jason fox pirate blood zoas are finally shaping up

These zoas i really like them i think they call them gere bananarama

I have a quick question I want to get a skimmer and I'm really considering the hydro koralia slim skim nano since its only 4w it will hear up less my aquarium, and since I don't have a chiller for it ( that pc fan works miracles) I thought it would be a great choice. Do you guys havoe any recommendations for a skimmer for a nano keep in mind that it has to have a low electric footprint. Thanks in advance

Consider a HOB one like for instance the Red Sea Prism Pro which is venturi valve operated and has the newer impeller and an insert for GAC or other chemicals. I have had good success with one on my 20 G Nano Reef

Well it didnt pass much before my parents saw me looking into a skimmer in the computer and i was looking at the one albert suggetsed and then my mom stopped and said to me "why are you looking at skimmers" and i told her that i wanted to buy one a long time ago", she said" well i saw you were looking at skimmer and i saw one that you lept looking at constantly so i bought it ". i was like "what why, when, which one?" all happy jajaj she actually went out of her way to buy me a skimmer she bought the hydor slim skim nano she says is a gift for three kings day so il have to wait. But for now i got a free skimmer so ill see how that one works out.

Yes indeed, hard to complain about a free skimmer and hopefully it will do just fine for you and clean your water up some more in addition to whatever else you are using to polish it and keep it in shape so your Monti does well. Good luck with it.

TODAY was a total win at the LFS i got a peppermint shrimp cause i saw one or two aipstasias got it for a good price and the stars of todays buy are the two mini scolymias i bought and if i told you i used less than $20 for those 3 items you wouldn't believe it jajaj but yep total win for me jaja so here are a few pics camara doesnt do them justice but here they go

so jajajaj i put a peppermint shrimp in there he was adult size, that didnt matter to my pseudochromis he ate him all i could save was tho give that e head damm i really need tguy a better home everything i put in there is food for him

So yesterday was my birthday so i decided to treat myself to go buy some corals since i wasnt gonna be able to celebrate it with my family ( first birthday i dont celebrate with my family). i went to a friend that sells a lot of montis and chalices. didnt get any chalices cause i didnt want o risk them dying but i bought two frags of green monti with pink polyps and a frag of red capricornis monti. i also went with a friends that told the guy it was my birth day so he said to me happy birthday and gifted me a colt coral. so i thanked the guy beofre we left and everything. pretty nice gift. even though im heaidng mopre into montis and zoas i think imma grow the colt coral out, seems wrong to trade or gift a gift, but i was really grateful for it. imma post pictures later so you can see what i have been up to

hey guys i totallyu forgot about telling you about the skimmer. The slim skim nano from hydor to me works really perfectly good.it didn't skim out nothing for the first two days but it warns you about that it says that it wont skim fr the first 3 to 7 days, but to me it strarted skimming out since the second day.

this is a picture of teh collection cup 4 days after i already cleaned it

i am really pleased with the product since its only 4 watts i the only difference in temperature i have noticed is a rise of 0.1 degrees ( nothing really so perfect) and it fitted perfectly in the chambers that i designed almost too perfect jajaja. here is a video so you can see how perfect it fits.

ahh and by the way i bought some "orange delight" zoas like 10 polyps for $5
