My 20 Gallon reef

Sounds like you've done your planning. Now you just have to find time to do it. Completely understandable!

Had the T5 drivers fall through due to some shipping issues, so no go in those yet, but I did get my canopy up and I am very happy with it.

I dont see any reason that it would hurt, but at the same time there is really no reason to do it. Unless you are adding fish and corals, there is no real way for the the tank to "mature" IMO.

Checked all my levels yesterday and did a 5 gallon WC. I'm pretty excited because I've been dosing my alk daily for three weeks and its still holding right where I last checked it.

Salinity - 1.026
Alk - 8.8
Ca - 420
mg - 1400
Nitrates - 5
phos - .05
pH - 8.1

I k ow no one else gets excited about my testing, but I am, because its finally really stable.

Now that you said the word "stable".... Everything will be different next time you test! lol

Glad you got things stabilized!I finally got my alk to 9 from 12!!!!

So I lied... Just tested its at 12 again but earlier it was at 9

Also your tank looks beautifull.

Thanks man. I've found that its very difficult to keep things stable in a nano because small changes happen so quickly. I like the small systems and will probably always keep thus one as it was my first and I love the color that it has. I do hope to have a large system some day though. It will be a while before I'm in the cool 180 club though.lol

Ya I started again with a 10 gallon<-- before the 29 and 40. It was a pita, totally agree with when it swings it does it fast.

Just an update, my frogspawn was getting stung by one of my favias so I had to move it. Since I moved it, it is looking better. It was showing skeleton, but now its growing back over the skeleton. Also, my snowflake bit me so I thumped his little butt and now he attacks me every time I put my hand in the tank.lol

Stupid clowns. They must not have heard the saying "Don't bite the hand that feeds you."
