i still like to supervise the water changes even though I don't have to do much nowadays since everything is almost automated.

What kind of pumps you running and powerheads love to hear your equipment list

I have mine placed in the top middle of my tank and it helps create a nice rolling wave .

I have been contemplating getting some sea sweeps but still on the fence about it.

Has anyone else used the sea sweeps or sea swirl not sure what name it is?

There is a much cheaper product , 19usd for a 1inch return

Have used them around 10 months ,... no issues ... believe they now also have the power head version ...

I dont know......after researching a little (and this is just my opinion here) this is a cheap version of the seaswirl. I looked into getting one of these instead of a seaswirl. Just look at the reviews - MANY complaints and nearly a unanimous consensus that it has a very loud click sound when it rotates - even when under water. From what I've gatherd, the people I know who have used the seaswirls swear by them - they are quiet, give excellent random flow, and are durable. I can't give my experience as I don't own one (but will let you know as I plan to put a 3/4" swirl in the corner of my upcoming 93gal cube build)

So I was hospitalized for over a week and in that time my tank had a crash ,I ended up with a burnt out heater a 4 year old dead clam my mandarin goby and a long horn box fish several torches ZOA's and all my birds nest dead. It truly sucked watched the ZOA's and torches melt away when I got back.

So sorry about your tank and I hope you are well from your hospital stay
