I run my AI Hydra 32HD lights with all the blue/uv channels maxed out, and only 5% whites. I really do prefer the bluer look, and my coral growth seems decent at the moment.

That said, I do think there is something to be said for how nicely T5s grow acros.

I would seriously consider running full spectrum for at least 3 t 4 hours. The problem is, if you look at coral grown in blue, under full spectrum. I have a backup tank that has been running only blue, and while the corals grow slow, they grow. My biggest issue is how they look when I crank up the whites. The tissue appears dull and weak, despite great PE. I will get back to you, the tank is now running 5 hours with 40% W,R,G. I did this for algae control, as I was lazy with this tank during new tank and breaking down the old one. Luckily, no app, just turn a knob to increase, lol. The light is growing the crap out of coral though, and the backup tank looks good under only LED.
So, I can say 1st hand, that I have tried all lighting and lighting combos. This includes, LED only, LED/t5 hybrid, t5/LED hybrid, MH only, MH/t5 hybrid, MH/LED hybrid, and even PC's....LOL
I have to update that tank soon, it is looking really nice right now.
This is my personal experience, and not looking to diss one lighting over another, just trying to keep things real. I have the choice to run any lighting I want right now, the Reefbreeder did just fine, I simply love t5 and what it does to acros :)

You can’t beat deep tanks! Love the side view

Hey Mark,
Thanks for stopping by :)
To me, this is the ideal type tank for acro lovers. I love top down viewing, so being able to walk around all 3 visible sides, and use my top down viewer, without having to be on a steptool is already a bonus----20" tall.
The ability to create a deeper scape is also a score, but to be able to view it on 3 sides as a display is coral nerd Utopia... LOL

Definitely appreciate the input, I will certainly consider it, thank you!

What are you using for the top down shot?

A custom video in response to your question Charlie! Better sub--- :)

Awesome. I have several top down viewers but with the combo of these new radions being mounted so close to the water and my new phone now focuses on the acrylic rather than corals and I get too much reflection from the lights.

Front on pics hard to gey, but here's the idea...

This is the money angle, it really shows off the 2 sided view, as well as the DIY rack for building height in the rear.

A close view of the coral rack, yeah that Fruity Pebbles is popping ;)

Great stuff @Perry that anthias looks familiar. Lol

I really like the depth your coral rack provides. Nice nice.

Tyler, thanks for noticing brother!
With 36" depth, doing something to elevate the back certainly gave the exact perception that I was aiming for, plus a place to put frags, lol.
Thank you for checking in :)

Ha, ha.
I figured I could give you a little personal attention that's deserved, lol. Samsung phones have awesome cameras, being able to control w/b is important, however, my tank is running so white now, not necessary...

Thanks Nick!
Man I love the energy and flash this pair has brought to the tank. A little more color out of my acros, those fish are almost too bright ;)

For anyone interested :)

Please keep doing top downs like that! Tell us the scientific names of those Acros... Show all Acros you have making these type of videos. Impress us, man! Let those corals grow out! Love the video! Thanks for sharing!

Edit: Are those ceramic square tiles supposed to be with the pattern upwards, like you have? I thought they make those patterns to be under. Or maybe it doesn't matter?

Thank you, glad you enjoyed my acros :)
I will keep pushing, please sub, hopefully I can start getting some traction there. I will be challenging the reef machine a bit, time to let those who want to acro know that they don't need all that expensive stuff, instead, by a nice coral :) I will definitely try my best to ID scientific names.
All the best!!!
