Oxygenate the water as aggressively as you can. High temps are sucking oxygen out!

You should always use a controller for a heater so theres a backup to turn it off if the heater thermostat goes bad

Throw is bags or hottles of ice. Can remover fish if you have another tank but will cause even more stress

ok so i have ice in there it says its 90 degrees and thats after some cooling

So im wondering what my next step is somestuff died so i will have to do a water change my eel and bass look ok i think they are coming back. i had a sea cocumber in there do you guys think it nuked because of the water?

Is there any pernament damage to the fish that comes from hot water?

how do i keep the tank from getting too cold i dont have another heater for a few days, unless local pet shop has one. Also what is a good heater for a 75 gallon tank

What will this do to my bacteria? And how do i help everything recover? What will this do to my fishes swim bladders they seem alittle off balance.

My water is currently at 86 degrees, the fish are starting to move around some more. I am really amazed that they survived this. A funny thing i have a dwarf angel fish that seemed to be unaffected during this whole thing, barely breathing hard, swiming, i guess she can handle hotter water.

on the heater thing, you don't have an lfs somewhere or even petco or petsmart? or amazon prime? i take it youre a young kid? maybe ask the parental unit to keep the house at 75 at least until you get a new heater

yeah im 16 and i have only one lfs and they are really bad about the stuff they supply they dont actually have saltwater fish there. and im going to see if i can get my mom to keep the house alittle warmer, thanks so much for all the help. i was kinda freaking out for alittle but things are looking better now atleast for the fish. alot of the inverts are toast but i dont think my cucumber nuked so thats good. hopefully my bacteria is still looking good.
