I have some named and un named. But to be honest, i can really only point out two of the named ones i purchased. The others, totally forgot. Personally I just believe that the hobby is saturated with named corals. I do believe that when a company names a coral, they can jack up the price. I would like to see a vendor try this with 2 of the same frags and see what happens.
Yes, you are correct.
Give a New Coral a Fancy Name and the Price goes up (But that is Only Initially).
It is Simple Supply and Demand (Applicable to Anything in Life Not Just Coral).
But as people buy that Coral and Grow it and Sell it they lower the Price.
Just be Patient.
I have seen this Scenario a million times.
If there is a new Hot Coral that you want but cannot afford it (Or Refuse to Pay the Price) wait.
It will Drop.
I have a Friend that Paid $1,000 for a Homewrecker Acro.
I think the Last one I saw for Sale was $160 and was a while ago.
They should be much cheaper now.
In the meantime there are a ton of Nice corals that were expensive a few years ago but are very affordable now.
And wait for the Expensive ones to Drop.
They say the Average Person is in the Hobby 1 Year and Quits.
Well that is not enough time to understand the Trends.
I have been in the Hobby for 9 Years now.
I see an expensive Coral that is new I just wait.
That is what people need to understand.
Don't get upset just be patient.
Simple as that.
