The tub on the back porch is looking good.

I have not measured anything yet, but no more black oily film is on the surface. The rocks look really good. Since it's really bright out there even though the porch is shaded, the coralline seems to have lightened in the color a bit. I am encouraged about the progress.

I might move my other rocks out of the garage into the open air. What really helped was washing off the oily film before placing them in the tub outside, though. Keeping the tub together in one place would make it easier to keep an eye on their condition for a lazy reefer like me.

I am still doing a few things to my old house this weekend to put them on the market. I think I can start setting up my tanks next weekend.

I will probably set up my planted fresh water tank sooner. My livestock in the tub may appreciate it. My light fixture for the 75G fresh water tank is sitting on the deck of Reilly's bass boat. I am sure that he would appreciate it, too, LOL.

Are you running any Carbon on the tubs with The Rock in it? Or is it strictly water circulation in them?

Just water circulation only at the moment.

We are getting a lot of afternoon showers. I don't even have to top off the water.

May want to toss some carbon on it as this can eliminate any nasties that the rain may bring or the rocks may leech

It was tough for the past month and a half. I packed the house and dealt with contractors to get both new house and old house ready all by myself while my husband Reilly worked his butt off at his office.

Since my old house is finally ready for sale, I can now concentrate on rebuilding my reef and my household. I still have a lot of unpacking to do. My garage is inundated with all my aquarium stuff (placed around my Reilly's bass boat to his dismay.)

Just read your whole story and feel your pain! Been through a similar situation with loosing everything due to a leaking tank in the middle of the night. I was unable to save any fish. It was such a heart breaker. I'm sorry for you loss.

So long story short, I got back into the hobby and now have a 180 gallon marineland. I'm looking to move at the end of the year and I'm trying to prepare as much as I can! Do you have any other advice that hasn't been mentioned? I'm thinking about hiring my
LFS to help out too.
