Need help sick clown!!

Inmay have missed this but what size tank? I know o2 may not be the problem. But increasing it certainly cant hurt their situation.

I am sure in the time youve had them they have grown substantially

Also what media do you use in the hob filter ?

Just the stuff the sell for it a pad with a little bit of carbon and yes they have grown quit a bit that's why I'm so worried about her due to I have had them both almost a year now and never had a problem with the tank till now in the past 8 months or more I have not added nothing but water changes and a few snails due to them during or what but maybe 2-6 other end than that it's been the same nd I don't poor the bag of water they come in I take them out after the water temp is the same as mine (float for 20 mins) so I'm lost I'll watch her and keep y'all posted and the lights are on a timer 8 hours a day since day 1

Darling folks are trying to help...this is a none answer. We all want that fish as happy and healthy as you do.
If you want to save the fish answering the Q's could help.

Snails can bring disease, ich or velvet can come in on their shells. When did you last add a snail?

Sorry for not replying but I'm going to be doing a dip in a few. I'm bring the fresh water up to the same temp as the take and for the answer on the size it's a 30gal and there is no spot on her and she is not shake scratching or nothing. She just stays in 1 spot breathing really fast and not eating it has been going on for about 4 days and no signs of change so now to do the rodi dip like I said will post pictures of the process and keep y'all up to date

Just added some like 2 days ago this has been going on for like 4 days and nothing was added to the take for like 8-10 months no changes to nothing just water changes and its on one of the clowns her mate and the 2 chromes are doing fine no issues with them what so ever or the fire shrimp and Sally foot crab

Ok. So, having a powerhead in the tank will help your entire tank be healthy for the long term. Having proper flow through the tank is necessary for the fish's health and if you have or get corals for their health too. Having one pointed toward the surface of the water will help oxygenate the water much better than your HOB filter as well.

For now, you can perform a Freshwater dip on the female clown. Your checking for flukes with this and is probably the best next step to figuring out what's going on with her. Here's how:
Freshwater Dip: Provides temporary relief for Brooklynella, Flukes & "Black Ich", Marine Velvet disease (Amyloodinium); possibly even Ich & Uronema marinum (both unproven). Can be used to confirm the presence of Flukes.

How To Treat - Fill a bucket with RODI water, and use a heater to match the temperature to the water the fish is coming from. Aerate the water heavily for at least 30 minutes prior to doing the dip, then discontinue aeration while performing the dip. Fish aren’t overly pH sensitive for short durations like this, but you can squirt a little tank water into the dip just before the fish goes in to help bring it up.

Place the fish in the freshwater (FW) dip and observe closely. It is not unusual for them to freak out a little at first. Also, tangs are notorious for “playing dead” during a FW dip. The important thing is to watch their gills; they should be breathing heavily at all times during the dip. If breathing slows, it’s time to exit the dip. Dip the fish for no longer than 5 minutes. Multiple dips may be done, but it’s important to give your fish a day to recuperate in-between dips.

For flukes, use a dark (preferably black) bucket so you can see if tiny white worms fall out of the fish (especially out of the gills) at around the 3-4 minute mark. The worms will settle to the bottom, so you can use a flashlight to look for them there as well.

Pros - Provides temporary relief for a wide range of diseases in a chemical free environment. Can “buy you more time” until a proper treatment can be done.

Cons/Side Effects - Not a permanent “fix” for any disease, as FW dips are not potent enough to eradicate all of the parasites/worms afflicting the fish. Some fish can have an adverse reaction to a FW dip by appearing unable to maintain their equilibrium once returned to the aquarium. If this happens, hold the fish upright (using latex, nitrile or rubber gloves), and gently glide him through the water (to get saltwater flowing through the gills again). It is also a good idea to place the fish in an acclimation box until he appears “normal”.

Here is what to look for:

I did the 5 min dip only seen 1 thing in the bowl on picture 4 a little whit thing like a worm with hair but it's so small I don't know she made it through it and now is in the tank kinda moving but staying in 1 spot and still breathing fast it's only been like 5 minutes since she has been in the tank

But the slow swimming and fast breathing could be from the freshwater dip. Watch her closely. Im not an expert on breeding clowns but if anyone has experiemce can they shed some light as to what happens before they lay? I know they clean a spot to lay and defend it. Sounds like the male is defending the female. Like she is about to lay eggs. But not sure.

Dose prazipro asap. It seems like the flukes are hitting her hard. Is she breathing hard?
Yea very hard breathing nothing has changed after the 5 minute dip only gotten worse her color is bleached and she isn't swimming just lays on the ground some times she gets up but goes right back down and no stores are opened I called them all I don't think it's a oxygen problem have a ton of bubbles it's just her and I feel so bad

@Humblefish. Just to verify you think this is flukes. Normaly i would figure that there would be multiple flukes from a freshwater dip. Not just one. What do you think with the pic. P.s. sorry for bothering you while your away lol

Don't breed but my clowns spawn like clockwork, she doesn't do as described in preparation. The female gets pretty wide around her dorsal fins, with the eggs. She acts normally until right before they spawn they will start aggressively cleaning the area they are going to lay on. Mine will bite and pick at some pulsing xenia that is encroaching on their laying surface. After laying she is back cruising the tank and the male will care for the eggs fanning them and protecting them. She may join in protecting the area if a chromis is getting too nosey
Sometimes they will dig in the sand in front of their area before or after laying as well

Thank you for the insight! Helps out a lot!
