Wouldn't the fresh water dip take care of it?We have confirmation it is a parasite.
Wouldn't I half to let it do the whole cycle thing? And I can try but I don't think I'll be able to ahhh this is killing me going to go to the store nowCan you pick up a 10 gallon tank and set it up quick?
Yes a cycle will take place. But i would sugjest a ammonia badge and have water ready for water changes. But also have to have enough meds to bring it to therapuetic levels.Wouldn't I half to let it do the whole cycle thing? Metronidazole has been proven reef safe actually. Not to shoot you down but for information purposes. Twilliard has shown this in a thread for dinos and i have dosed it myselfThat is some fast breathing, I am nor sure of the cause. It looks possible for flukes, based on the dip.
Assuming your ammonia is zero, I would add more flow for one. Saltwater does not hold as much oxygen as freshwater so increasing turn over would be helpful to a fish that is struggling to breathe.
Petsmart usually carries api general cure which has praziquantil (prazipro ingredient) in it. It also has metronidazole which is not reef safe, so you would need to dose that in a hospital tank.
@4FordFamily any input?
That is my gut as well, the OP stating nothing added in so long made me doubt myself.At first i thought flukes but the pic of the white spec from the dip poised doubt to me. It dodnt look like a normal fluke. Twilliard and i believe it is a parasite.
Looks like a parasite to me. Not sure that stand alone it is what caused this fish to deteriorate though.Twilliard and i think it's safe to say it's a parasite. I hope everything is ok amd makes it through but it looked slim.
