ive been lazy latly and havent been quarantining my fish. now i have to pay the price. 3 days ago bought a blue tang. today i noticed white dots on its body but he is eating frozen foods and has since the first day.from looking at the chart in the stickys my mandarin cant go through copper and flasher wrasse can handle it but might be hard on her. i need help with a game plan on what to do to keep all my fish alive with the limited space of an appartment.
x1 bangi cardinal
x1 blue tang
x1 mandarin goby
x1 firefish
x1 carpenter flasher wrasse
x2 lyretail anthia
x2 gold nugget maroon clown

You could run Tank Transfer Method (TTM) on all of them, but that might be difficult since there are so many fish going through it. You could copper all but the mandarin and but the mandarin through TTM.

Post some photos of the Blue Tang w/white dots, so we can confirm this is actually ich and not velvet. The latter is running rampant right now.

I was thinking r his but what will I do with my mandarin for that long while tank is empty and copper is going how long do I have to run copper?

Does your mandarin eat anything besides pods? If not, you might want to consider just rehoming him to a LFS.

Yes he eats my sis that's the only reason I bought him

Then it can be done. But you will need to feed him (small portions) 4-5x daily for the entire fallow period (76 days). If he starts looking skinny, increase frequency of feedings. Also try offering Nutramar ova.

Do you think he will be good in a 5 gallon bucket. I am also wondering about my hospital tank since I'm going to add cupranine does it need to cycles hold I ad some dt water I'm sure there is already ick in it 5 days with tang now

He should be fine in 5 gal buckets for TTM, but he'll need a larger QT (10 gal) for the long haul. I would QT him separately from all your other fish, so he doesn't have to compete with them for food.

I recently add a blue also to my display it also showed ick . Not my first time trying a blue but everybody ask where's dory we'll this time it was eating and knowing that if you make them happy there is a good chance to beat it so I fed non stop every thing I had. Hex schield ick schield mysis
Sea weed multiple times a day. The out come was great I now have very fat fish that is very happy in it home . Seems to me that all the stress of catching and moving make it cemented worse for blues . And if your other fish are healthy and happy they will not get it

This is the best picture I could get and you can't see anything in the picture.

Do the white spots look like this (ich)?

Not that garlic cures ick but foods with it bo seem to help boost the fishes ability to fight off the ick it has worked for me so if it is not a terrible case you may have success with just good water and feeding how big is your tang . Mine was for inches seems larger fish can fight off stuff easier

He's a little smaller than a half dollar coin

Smaller can be harder but I have had them just get better with just feeding and making sure they feel less stress buy water conditions and that no tank mates are picking on them

I feed twice a day a cocktail of mysis sperulina and coral gumbo. I've been adding small sheets of nori aswell but no vitamin supplement just food

If it's velvet, vitamins and garlic won't make a difference :/
