need help with game plan ick treatment

Oh gotcha, I missed the part about you trying to catch him. I think I need to go to bed lol. I'm going to bow out now and let the pros do their job [emoji847]
Lol not at all. Any help is better than no help is my way of thinking. You just helping rule out possibilities.

Ok I will give it some time. What is your thoughts on supplements like what waybad suggested it seems like a good idea but I like to keep things simple and the added burden of management isn't appealing to me. But from what I've read it doesn't seem all that hard to feed fish and keep them fat

Food soaking vitamin supplements (ex. Selcon, Zoecon, Vita-chem) is always a good idea, whether your fish are sick or healthy. In fact, proper nutrition is just as important as disease control. Feed live foods (when possible), fresh seafood and high quality frozen foods. Look for foods which contain vitamins and probiotics.

I should have said I do also run a uv sterilizer which may or may not help with the reappearance of the ick

So the blue tang broke out in white dots everywhere and my anthias started getting white on them aswell I took all the fish out of the tank and put them in a 20 gallon long. I'm going to do tank transfer method on mandarin. Will these first 3 days in hospital tank count as first transfer. I did use water from my tank to fill up hospital tank I didn't think it would matter I'd I'm going to be adding copper

So, the mandy will be in the 20 long with the other fish before being transferred into his own tank to continue TTM? You wouldn't be adding copper to the tank until the mandy is out correct? If all that is correct, then yes, this first three days in the 20 long would count as the first of the five transfers. Be sure to use new saltwater for each additional transfer as well as for water changes from now on.

I worry because you said white dots everywhere and it seems like this was relatively sudden -- this sounds more like velvet and unfortunately TTM won't help with velvet and your mandarin may reinfect everyone..

I hope I'm wrong..

Awesome thanks that is my plan. When I transfer him into the new water do I need to add anything to the water or freshly mixed saltwater is ok

I hope not this is over the course of 2 weeks. It started with a few dots and I'm starting to notice alot more

When I start to hear tons of dots (more than can be easily counted) it's almost always velvet...

I can't get a good picture but it looks like the earlier picture just more dots
