need help with game plan ick treatment

I'm hoping it's not velvet today I didn't see him out in the morning before work

Better picture showing the dots he came out u think since I was trying to catch him he got scared and hid but when I got home from work he was out swimming in the light and eating frozen foods if you zoom in you can see 2 dots on his lateral line and there is 1 dot on his fin. I also noticed he is catches up not sure if this is from me trying to catch him or from him rubbing up on rocks I haven't seen him rub on rocks by the way but he is scratched up for sure

Do you just see dots or are there any bumps are you sure that it just not sand stuck to it my clowns get sand dot s on them

Looks pretty good if it is ick my last one hade what look like pimples all over and when they fell off developed a sore on its side but I was able to clear up and now have a very nice blue . I did add selocon to frozen along with hex shield and ick shield food to boost immunity

They are very small they look like bumps but I can be mistaken. I don't think it's sand because my sand is way bigger than the bumps

Is that it? Just 4 dots? That would more suggest ich. However, it's not impossible for a fish to have both ich & velvet.

Yes that's it and only on 1 side. What would you recommend. watch him or take everything out and start copper and ttm for mandarin

I didn't re-read the whole thread, but did you rule out flukes? If it's ich and not velvet, you could really do TTM for both of them.

Edit. Should have re-read it first, I see you have a lot of fish for TTM.

I did look at one of your earlier pics it does look like ick to me what you should see is the dots will all go away . That doesn't mean ick has left your tank but is part of its cycle this is where the feeding for me was important because if the fish are healthy and immunity is good all my fish have been able to resist getting it again . Now the only problem I see with all the feeding is my friends joke about eating them because they are so fat

I wanted to do tank transfer method but all I have to do it is 5 gallon buckets and 9 small fish ranging from and inch to my wrasse which is almost 3 inches . I live in a apartment and space is limited

Yea, I think at the very least you would need 4 10g tanks, and even that would be tricky.

I would prefer there be more physical evidence before treating, going fallow in the DT, the whole 9 yards, etc.

I'm thinking maybe ich and flukes? That's a lot of scratches for a few little spots... you are the expert though :)

I was trying to catch him yesterday and he was in between all the rock work that's when I barly noticed the scratches . He has been pooping a lot but it's not long stringy or white. Thick dark clumps he's a little piggy lol

Oh gotcha, I missed the part about you trying to catch him. I think I need to go to bed lol. I'm going to bow out now and let the pros do their job [emoji847]

Ok I will give it some time. What is your thoughts on supplements like what waybad suggested it seems like a good idea but I like to keep things simple and the added burden of management isn't appealing to me. But from what I've read it doesn't seem all that hard to feed fish and keep them fat
