This is dinoflagellates
An organism that has photosynthetic properties and eat whole prey.
This is at 2500 power. All you need to do to get them is introduce 1 cell into your tank. They are water born. They multiply by division
Come in most likely from frags, fish or the water shipped in.

thanks twilliard, I know I had them in my fish only also, I did nothing and as nutrients climbed, they went away and were never seen since

I do feel your pain. Started drinking today... It started with birds nest and my red dragon first. Went downhill after.

read my thread then... i was grasping for anything to make them go away. i was that desperate.

i tried many different things and in the end just did a few simple things (with patience)

dino free now.
think they died off november/december.

reduced lighting and such helped a ton but my corals cried.

2ml a day peroxide is what i ended up with (no white light, reduced blue)

i got some nasty white bacteria a month later. i could be off a month.

yeah. i tried 3 at first for my 300 but you could tell corals werent having it. i settled to 2 and left it on (i think for a month).

even with no more issues i think i left it on a month longer

i used a throw away doser from jebao. i think it is a dp100 or something of the like. i dont have it anymore since it outlived its usefulness.

eg: i threw it away.

Update. Came home to a nightmare. Tank looking much much worse than yesterday. Dinos growing pretty much on every coral. Lps and sps. Even chalices. Started to dose peroxide. Follow my Russ's advice. Don't have 24 interval pump, so set up a 8 interval pump for 6 min of dosing. I have nothing to loose at this point.
