I had to remove a large piece of rock from my tank.
Tank is a year and 2 months or so old now.
The tank was cycled with BRS Reef Saver rock. I used a large piece for base rock. I recently decided I didn't like it's looks. So I wanted to break it into pieces and reattach to improve the aquascape and some surface area.
After trying really hard to get this rock to break with a hammer and mallet, I started using a chisel. Only the chisel would just get embedded. After pulling it out, this wet white stuff was covering the chisel. In fact the whole inside of this rock is wet and almost mushy.
Anyway this is a big chunk of bacteria colony here. What do I need to do to make sure my fish and coral will be fine? Can I add more rock?
