Need some help.

Rhetorical scenario...Try this, get a handfull of powdered concrete and walk up to your display tank. Would you dump it in?

LOL:eek::eek::D:D Snow globe effect :D

Thats what my tank looks like right now! lol I tried doing this earlier and gave up momentarily. Stuck the rock back in the tank and it looked like milk flowing out of the rock.

I'm struggling trying to get water changes going. I feel like the mother of all silica bombs just bomb my little tank. :(

Depends on how sterile you want to be. Put it in a bucket and use Flatworm exit. then Interceptor. With 12 to 15 days.(egg hatch) Do it again . Lower the salinity rapidly one day.( Iso shock)
Fresh water dip it for several hours. Peroxide etc. Any of the reef safe methods of eradication wwont affect the bacteria. And if its in a 5g bucket just use old tank water to keep feeding the bacteria when you do do a 100% WC in the bucket. You can also Lanth the rock too for po. Its the same method Im heading twards for My coral qt. A small safe place to nuke stuff.

you don't have a canister filter dot you? or a spare reactor w floss and or carbon/gfo... Not that I have anything against snow globes.

No, no canisters unfortunately. No reactors either. I have carbon and gfo stashed somewhere.

Doesn't someone make amazing miracle bottles of bacteria that I can just splash on some dry rock, and be good to go? lol

Oh yea they totally do. Ill send you some. Paypal is fine. Comes in what looks like a used beer bottle, almost looks like tank water.

Its a HOB AQ tank? some gso in there. Its silicates mostly Id wonder about.

Let's see if @randyBRS has anything to say about this. He has a better insight on the BRS rock than most others. No offense to anyone here.

I agree with @saltyfilmfolks, if there is something you could use as a temporary filter and you tank will clear up very quickly. Either way the fog will settle.

the one with the issues you kikked but on. well then.
My biggest concern is I've never subtracted rock from any of my tanks. This one rock took up 2/5ths the scape. There is only 4 small fish(if you count a hi-fin goby) and a thumb size shrimp. The other rocks are very porous with caves, possibly more surface area than the one I just removed. I also have Matrix in the back filter. Would that cause issues? Then I could just get some dry rock curing tomorrow?

If you add bottled bacteria, MB7 is strong one(but any should do) for the next little while the tank should eventually equalize on its own (biofilter increases naturally). I've seen this when pulling rock yes.

Matrix Should Not be an issue. Im assuming your referring causing the mush.

And yea then shop for rock for aesthetics. And more bacteria hiding places.
