Need tang/qt advice

Well, another thing to consider would be copper sensitivity. It's not generally common in tangs, but it happens. Even if you don't have the rally, you might try moving him to a bucket or another QT without medication and see if he perks up there. I'm sorry, it's tough to diagnose when there are no visible symptoms.

@Humblefish @melypr1985 any other ideas??

I appreciate the help. I think I'll just have to see if he's still alive when I get home and then go from there

If that Yellow Tang is bullying him, he may have internal injuries and may very well be dying. I had a Valentino Puffer that looked fine when I found him dead in the tank. One of the Tomato Clowns I have beat it to death. He had no visible injuries. It was a territorial thing.

I would suggest a partition of egg crate to keep him isolated and protected while treating.
That's good advice. Thank you

He's still alive but basically stuck vertically in the one artificial plant. I don't know what to do for him

Doesn't look good

Idk if I should move him to non medicated water or try any FW dip

Is he breathing rapidly? If so, I think I'd try the fw dip again.

If he is breathing slowly, maybe try a non-medicated bucket with an air stone. Do you have acriflavine?

Full disclosure, in this state the fw dip could finish him off. But if it's something in his gills it could help.

I'm trying to upload a video but it's not working. He's breathing kind of fast but with his mouth wide open. I don't have the medication yet. I'd have to order it online

I just moved him into a bucket with my DT water (same SG) and an air stone. He's laying on the bottom but has tried to straighten up. Currently is just laying there

Ok, watch the temp...you might have to throw in a heater. I have a very small one I use for this sort of think.

I'm thinking it could be a bacterial infection. Do you have any antibiotics?

@melypr1985 any ideas for my tang?

He looks pretty bad and very skinny. Have you seen him poop at all? What did the poop look like? My tangs poop constantly in QT, so I hope he's made some for you.

I do have a small heater I'm going to put in there. He's really in bad shape. I have metroplex, kanaplex and furan 2

Yes he looks even skinnier today but no I've never seen him poop. The only thing I could get him to eat was frozen brine

OK.. This is what I would do in your place. I would run him through a 90 minute acriflavin bath with LOTS of aeration. Then start the antibiotics in the QT. Kanaplex, furan2 and metroplex.. The metro will also help address any intestinal worms that may, or may not, be involved here. Do that and hope.

The acriflavine is API fungus cure? The only place I have locally is a petco so I can see if they have it. The qt currently has full strength copper and an ****** yellow tang in there. Should I do all of this in a bucket with heater and air?

I see acriflavine-ms and ruby reef rally. Those I can't get tonight

^agree, at the very least get those three medications running tonight, even if you are waiting for the rally.
