I don't think cold weather temp killing them since the package content heat pack and heat pack still darn warm to touch after I got the box from UPS.It makes me think that the cold weather just doesn't work with clams, especially smaller ones. I've yet to successfully keep a DD clam when the temperature on delivery day was less than 60 degrees.
Oh no!! Did you lose ALL your clams?!?!?!DD clams must be carried something since the bad Squamosa died then pretty much I lost 1 clam a day, It doesn't matter what I'm trying to save my clams, they are dying 1 by 1, It's my fault that I didn't QT the new clams from DD, I was trusted them with their huge glory introduction of their huge "facility" and how they are care for their live stock...It's ALL LIED and it's cost me the deaths of all other clams in my tank because of their SICKED clams.
Post a pic if ur lights are on when u get homeMy order today came in and both clams were packed well and responsive through acclimation and they maxima opened up well in my tank and the derasa was getting there. I had to go back to work but hope they will be doing well when I get home.

Hard to get them to stay open to get a top down photo.
Well my large derasa clam looks like garbage and i think its going to kick the bucket. I have had it since at least 2007 and its span is about 13 to 14 inches. It has to be related adding the sick Squamy from DD. I did a super large water change so fingers crossed it bounces back. If the clam doesnt make it I am offically retiring from the hobby.
