Ah that is the same as N-halamine. Has been tested with inconclusive results against marine protozoans. Which probably means it doesn't work.

ok, I will try to overnight some of these products, reef rally, CP, copper(for my other fish, a separate QT for my other fish, and furan 2.
You just need CP or copper, not both. CP is the treatment of choice for velvet (also treats ich, brook & uronema), BUT it also requires an Rx which can be filled at a pharmacy. CP sold on ebay, online, etc. is dicey. Sometimes a vet will write the Rx for you.

i was going to do a separate treatment qt tank for my other fish and treat with copper, but i guess if I get CP i will just use that. I already lost one of them anyways-

If your vet perscribes it, it should be the pure grade no matter what. Your solid if you can get it from a pharmacy
Take the Rx to a compounding pharmacy if you have one nearby and insist upon the powder. Local pharmacies will sometimes try to pawn the tablets off on you, because that's what they usually have in stock and would have to special order the powder from a compounding pharmacy. Tablets are technically usable, but being they contain less chloroquine base you have to use more of them than the pure powder form. So, less bang for your buck with the tablets.

Ok, the pharmacy is trying to find it. they do not have it. CP is not used much anymore for malaria. They only know of the tablets also.

They have the powder and any local pharmacy can special order from them.

this is the fish I lost, his tail is disintegrating a bit, he died last night. I do not see the white spots anymore. poor thing

I called the LFS where I got the clowns, they did say they have seen brook with the fish in that tank.

it just does not look like brook though to me, and these are tank raised too. the fins were fine also.
Copper only suppresses symptoms of brook, will not successfully treat it. See below.
Brooklynella:
Symptoms – This is most often seen in clownfish, but it can afflict any fish. The fish’s skin will appear to be peeling or sloughing off, oftentimes causing excessive white mucous to form around the affected area(s).
Treatment options - Formalin bath, followed by additional formalin baths (as needed - but give the fish a day to recuperate in-between baths). You can use formalin in a QT (at a much lower concentration than the bath), but great care must be taken to provide plenty of gas exchange as formalin will quickly deplete the water of oxygen. For this reason, doing baths is the safer option as the fish can be pulled from the formalin if showing signs of distress. Formalin-MS is preferred, as that contains 37% formaldehyde. However, in a bind, any medication containing formalin (ex. Quick Cure) is better than nothing. Alternative treatments for brook include metronidazole (ex. Seachem MetroPlex) and acriflavine (ex. Acriflavine-MS). A freshwater dip may provide temporary relief if you are unable to locate any of the aforementioned medications right away.

I lost two clowns early on...had similar symptoms , probably brooklynella...I'll tell you...you have to treat in a big hurry whatever it is...get them into Q and copper FAST!
