New Mag

Looking really good! IMO I think a puffy mouth is really just a sign of it being “hungry” and is very different than a gaping mouth which is something to be worried about. Before you move it to the display you may want to try to feed it something meaty, like a small (dime-size) piece of fresh de-shelled uncooked shrimp to test things out before the Big Move! I always make sure my shrimp is fresh since a spoiled piece could put you right back at square-one in regards to treatment. I’ve tried pellets but my nems never go for them and just spit them out.
I will try and feed it tonight when I get home and see how it reacts

So I went ahead a shot some Mysis shrimp into its tentacles and it snatched it up and pulled it in and almost shut its mouth too

I will do a 50% water change in a little bit with fresh salt water. I plan on using DT water starting tomorrow since I am home this weekend and can observe it closely. If all goes well I might be able to put this into my DT soon

Also an update on the first Mag. It is still looking good and being a nice host to the clowns

Did a 50% water change with DT last night and had no ill effect as of yet
Here is a picture about an hour after the water change

And here it is this morning

I am going to get a shelf ready in the DT and if things continue well I might do the move in the near future

The Mags been practicing its duck face so I went ahead and moved the Mag off of the plate and onto a rock so I don’t have to worry about moving it’s foot later. Gave it about a 5 minute foot massage and it latched onto the rock instantly. Also noticed the tentacles are nice and sticky too.

Awesome! Congrats on the big move. The mouth looks great and overall looks like it doing well. Keep us posted on any changes.
The HT had 100% DT water and seemed to really perk the Mag up. Figured it could use more light that I couldn’t give it in the HT so I will keep a close eye on it and keep on updating

I also have the HT cleaned up and on stand by just Incase. Currently working on a more permanent HT set up for future residence but for now at least it’s off the kitchen counter. I will let these 2 Mags settle in and in a month or so and keep a close eye and if all goes well I might try to pick up another

Both Mags are still well and have been keeping there mouths tight and stay inflated. I did notice that ever since I put the second Mag in the tank the first one has actually moved closer to it and now they touch which the clowns don’t mind

This is great to know. I was just wondering if two different types of mags could be together since the shelf rock I added could easily accommodate another smaller mag.

I was hoping it would work out as I am in the process of remodeling the master bedroom and setting up a few tanks. I plan on having a 180g Mag tank and would like to pack it full.
