Did you do any skimming yet?
Have wave makers going?
Maybe you can ask a cup of salt or a piece of LR from your LFS or any hobbyist close to you.

Yes I put it in panty hose so it didn't make a mess in the tank as well.

Well, I mean by now you can remove the shrimp in it's pantyhose entirely.
By now you have enough ammonia in you tank and the bacteria need to do their job by consuming that.

+1. Just be patient for the uglies. When my 125 cycled I thought I was going to have to rip everything down. It was awful. Then a few weeks later; It was like a switch went off and the tank was crystal clear and the real fun began!!

If you keep doing what you're doing, you're going to be an awesome keeper of the reef!
