Holy Crap! Sorry to hear about your situation. Yeah, fish aren't important right now. I would even give yourself a week away from it and have someone else worry about tank. I also recommend a chiropractor for the wifey minimum. I seriously cannot tell you how much my Seneye Home $139 has made me a better husband. If that happened I would get an email IMMEDIATELY and be out the door to save the fish before that happens. Buy that before your next fish.

Thank you! Although she is not complaining much, I did recommend that she see a chiropractor. However, our Nanny who was also with them in the accident has been complaining of neck and upper back pain. My wife is planning on taking her to see a chiropractor this week. I won't be using anymore auto feeders on this tank, but I will look into the Seneye Home.

Thank you! The QT process is my least favorite, as I'm sure it is for most. However I believe it is a very necessary process to make sure you only introduce healthy specimen into your aquarium. Yes, the losses are very tough!

Here is a video of the failed Eheim auto feeder. It dumped approx. 1/2 cup of pellets into the tank sometime between Friday AM and Saturday AM.

I have that same exact video. These feeders are a disaster waiting to happen and should be taken off the market in my opinion.
I woke up one morning to find mine spinning endlessly, and luckily it was just after I returned after a 2 week trip, and the feeder was just about empty. If it had happened while I was away it would have most likely crashed my tank. I have heard of many other people having the same problem so it's not an isolated incident. Glad to hear your family is ok.
