New Reefer trying a Nuvo 20

Made some changes to the coral placement recently, the zoas looked to be stretching a lot for the light so I've tried putting them higher on the opposite side of the tank and putting a torch in their old place. Doing a large water change tomorrow morning that way I can take some time to clean off the rocks and some hard to reach places.

Do you just put the corals straight in the tank or you clean them for pests?

New light?
Yup, just picked it up recently. So far it is pretty awesome, love the controllability of it and the corals seem to be loving it too. The old one I had was just a cheap one that didn't have any good features to it besides just being a light.

Clean them first definitely, don't wanna make the mistake of putting something unwanted in there since things can go bad fast in such a small tank.

Haven't done a FTS in awhile, changed the rocks shortly after this so the arch is more of a flat bridge rock to rock, hopefully it will give better space for corals. IMG_7702.jpg

My scaping was pretty easy to set up due to the pieces of rock I received, the arch is actually two different rocks that I was able to set together perfectly to make it look like one arching rock. I know many people who will use different types of epoxy or even dowels, in the end though it definitely just depends on the rocks that you get!
So u didnt use any glue or epoxy ?

Time for some updates, a lot has been going on in the tanks recently, I lost my agent orange echinata due to the torch coral getting too close to it, and lost my funny d zoas due to a rock being knocked over and landing right on top of them :( To make up for it I went on another shopping spree with the @WWC 3 hour sale, and then topped it off with their after sale stuff. Now onto the eye candy. IMG_7852.jpg IMG_7872.jpg DCE5780A-5282-42F4-846E-5AE6D2EBCF69.jpg 4920F01F-B7CB-4735-9A6A-13A40A85413C.jpg

Well winter break ended and it was time for me to break down the tank to move back to school. Everything went fairly smooth, the goby wasn't too happy and tried to make a jump for it a couple of times while setting everything back up, still haven't seen him sine i finished putting everything back together so he has probably found a pretty good hiding spot. I got all of my new corals in and they look to be doing great. Finally, the new scape, I must say i love it more than my previous one, so much space for corals.
