New sps to look for?

I've never fragged that coral, ever. It was one of Chris' (at RM) favorites. That's my wife's baby. She's not much into SPS but loves that one, the undata, and a bright green M. danae I picked up from a guy in Michigan. Maybe you can talk her into it at the swap and I can bring a frag to Nashville in January.

i picked up a tiny frag of wwc blueberry acro. i think it is one that should be on the list. my frag is really small so a pic wouldnt help. but i think its a really nice coral and nice growth pattern...

Yeah buddy

One thing I've learned Is If the wife likes It Let It be!!! Not a chance I'm going there especially with someone else's wife. Tread carefully Is my advice.

Are you talking about the blueberry field acro? If so I picked up a piece while I was down there and it is awesome I dont have the base color yet but the polyps are really bright blue.

yeah thats possibly it. the guy who was there just called it wwc blueberry. it as a greenish base with blue polyps. its in the front area of their display tank...

Is this the one you are talking about? This is a pic that 143gadgets took while he was at wwc and this is the pic that made me call Victor.

Once of the nicest acros I've seen. This is NOT an actinic shot.

I Live 20 min from Jason fox and have a frag of his Grinch Monti and the pics i see on this post are not a Jason fox/Tyree Grinch monti.......I BELIEVE Jason collected this himself in the Philippines

That is what Jason told me - he collected it in the PI - then gave Tyree a piece to check out.

I have probably 20 different monti's - including the Season's greetings and Chili pepper - it makes them look like nothing special.
I am still waiting for mine to get a little bigger and color up right.

How is yours doing Steve?
I think it is a lower light monti - to get the real nice green metallic base to it. I'll have to check with Jason, but I think it is, because I have been killing it with light and the polyps look insane orange, but the base is more of a lightish green.

Mccliffy - If you ever decide to try your hand at shipping, I would love to do a trade and see what the purple polyp and the green base one you have look like. The Grinch look alike looks REAL nice.

I agree - there is some wayyyyy better stuff out there than just the hyped up "Tyree" or whatever LE stuff. Isn't EVERYTHING LE nowadays. It seems like you don't see a coral nowadays without LE attached to it.

The LE just makes them french....

:D

I picked up a couple wild pieces a few years ago, One I know only 1 other person in our local club has a piece from me, the other I know of 1, maybe 2 that has a piece of it, but either way, they are both 'unnamed'. I'm not into the whole named frag thing, but it is nice to keep track of them...

Both pieces I have yet to trade/sell any frags of... I may have to in the upcoming month, they are starting to reak havok on their neighbors... If I do, they may be 'Le french cuts'

This one is nicknamed - "Acro 1" Very hard to get a picture of the colors, but half the growing tips are a nice light blue/teal color.... and the other half have a pink/red ting to them.... very interesting piece...

And this one I named "Irish Gold" a nice gold/tan color, with pinkish tips, fading to green in the less light areas...
