Thanks for the tip Tek my Ammonia level was at 0 when i added the fish..Hopefully this water change will encourage their eating i did pick up some frozen shrimp and some pellets for them and will try them out after the water change

Just did my water test and here is what came up

pH: 8.0

Ammonia: 0.50ppm

Nitrite: 0.25

Nitrate: 20ppm

I know these levels are not good any suggestions on lowering them? Water Change perhaps?

Looks like its still going through the end stage of the cycle.

Try brine or mysis, then try flakes by holding them under the water before you release. Small new fish will normally pass on pellets from my experience.

Ammonia and Nitrate should be 0 once a tank has cycled. Even if ammonia was at 0 the fish caused it to cycle again because it never fully cycled or established enough beneficial bacteria.

No water change yet. That will set it back again. You need to let the bacteria work its course. The nitrate will spike then go back to "0". Looks like right now, your Nitrate is went thru its spike and its coming back down. Let it cycle a little longer. You can speed up the process by adding some Biosphere or some good bacteria.

but dont so a water change. Let the bacteria do its job until the nitrate hits "0" again. Test daily and monitor your parameters. Do you have an iphone or android?

but the powerhead is a must..You need circulation in the tank. Flow is important in saltwater.

I know how hard it is to wait for the cycle. Lol trust me i had my share of losses. Each day seems like a week lol but it will save you money and heartbreak to wait just a little bit longer.

you can also document what live stock you have in your tank. Pulls up photos and description of your fish/coral when u type in the name. So its also like a saltwater wikipedia. lol

Well clowns are soldiers. They might weather storm. But they will get stressed out thru the cycle for sure. Just dont add anything else until nitrate hits 0

There is ammonia in the tank which is toxic to fish. The fish are already not eating so I would recommend some sort of water change. The tank will continue to cycle and equal out in the end.
