I don't see a problem using a reducer for the manifold. A 1/2 inch manifold would be ideal for running most reactors or even an algae scrubber...

I would keep the return line 3/4" and reduce at the gate valves like you are showing in the diagram.

OK, that's what I'll do thanks!. I noticed on yours, your manifold is branching off the main return line and my diagram is going through the manifold. Is there any pros or cons to it or doesnt matter? I'm a noob with plumbing lol.

Honestly, I'm a noob as well. From what I researched on here, those two 90s might cost you some GPH flow into the tank. I think it would be better to keep the return line as straight as possible and T off it.

I just watched a BRS video where they tested 45's and 90's there wasn't much difference. Pretty interesting video. I also thought the 90's would cost you a lot in GPH also. I ordered all the fitting now, my pump is rated higher than twice the 10x turnover rule so it should be fine.

Well, I got the LED strip installed and the drain line lol! I have to get the manifold made up and I'm in the middle of building my mixing station. So much to do!

I got these 3/4 to 1/2 tees but they look very restrictive? Are they ok? I got them from pvcfittingsonline

I'm a little concerned with the fumes in the basement and my fish being OK, I've seen fishofhex use pvc cement in his basement all the time so I figured it will be OK.

Whatever way works for you is the best. I have the WB Marine 60.2 and put it on carpet. I leveled it at each phase: just the cabinet; cabinet with tank and sump; cabinet, tank/sump, and water. After it settled with the water, it came out perfect. Of course my tank has less weight. It's on low pile carpeting with padding. GL

Quick question on the stand. What is the dimension (internal wall to internal wall) where the sump fits? I'm really thinking about getting one of these, but I really like my Bashsea sump I've got on my 90g now and would want to use it.

I have the Jebao 8000, max flow: 2110gph, max head: 18ft. I hope that will be enough?

This is exactly why I put caster on it, in case I wont to move it. They are the same wheels that like snap-on toolboxes have with the lock to stop it moving around.
