No kidding, I pass the proving grounds everyday on my way to work. Small world lol. What made you move?

Sorry with all the pics but the kessils just blow me away with how nice they look over my old xr15's.
My phone camera doesn't do it justice.

I hear alot about marinepure and currently run it on my other tank, but it does crumble easy. Does anyone run the
Brightwell Aquatics Xport BIO Dimpled Brick? I was wondering if its any better without the crumble.

I just ordered the Xport BIO brick. It wont be delivered until Monday but I'm hoping it doesnt crumble.

I was just watching a youtube on that one and they have a NO3 brick also, do you know the difference?

I just checked and it was the NO3 that I ordered. I believe the NO3 has areas in it the help reduce nitrates.

The tank has been running a week and it's quiet until the powerhead gives a blast of flow then you can hear the water trickling in the overflow. Is there any way to stop this? When its night time and the powerheads go on 20% its dead silent, obviously I can't have them on 20% all the time. I have them at 40% during the day.

I am running two Reef Breeder RP-Ms on the back wall that are set on a type of Reef Crest mode which randoms between 30-100% and I have not noticed any noise coming from the overflow. I did have both powerheads running at 100% when I adjusted my drain gate valve initially. Maybe you could try that?

I dont have enough space on my back wall to put the dry side of my mp40's :(

This is my schedule, this is the first time I've owned mp40's so it may not be set up right?

Try turning them both up to the highest setting you would use and then adjust your overflow. That way, water won't surge into the emergency drain when the powerheads ramp up.

I did some PAR readings and I think I should be good to grow pretty much anything. I am going to have to turn them down to around 30% I think.

Nice. How high over the water are your lights?

Its 8 inches from the water, I could raise it up probably?
I'm not sure. I am planning on finishing my light install today and was wondering if you had found an ideal height over water to get even spread throughout the tank.

Well the CAD drawing I had made was at 10 inches so I will probably raise it up to 10 now I have the narrow reflectors on.

I know you have the same aqualife fixture but what LED's are you going to run? and what T5 bulbs did you go with?
