New waterbox 130.4 build

I did some cad work on my lights today and at 10 inches above my tank I am defiantly getting the narrow lens kessil make.
The normal 360x gives you 130 degress of light and as you see in the one pictures there's massive spillover and the pics at 55 degrees will be perfect.

Awesome use of a skill to make an educated decision.

I always have a tough time with scaping, need opinions or ideas. This is only 40lbs but I dont want to fill the tank with rock. I know they say 1lb per gallon but thats over 100lbs. Can you use les rock and still be ok?

Looks good so far. You can absolutely use less rock than the 1lb per gallon rule. Just add a marinepure block in the sump for added bacterial filtration.

I feel like it need more or something else but not sure what. I have 60 lbs of regular rock but I love these shapes lol

Was that the whole scape? Or were you planning and making another formation?

well I was thinking maybe adding some islands in the corners but for the most part that was my first attempt.

I always feel like you could build different scapes forever and I never know when to stop and say thats good ya know.

I completely understand. That is why I felt so lucky for find my aquascape for sale.

Also the scape looks like it will open enough to allow a good amount of flow from the powerheads.

Yea I was thinking and going for something that doesn't obstruct the flow. I think this should work with that.

I had to make some adjustments but I think it came out ok, I need to put something on the side I think though, in the corners?

I would leave it be for now. Leaves room for future expansion and plenty of swim room for the fish.
