Im almost positive the glass is etched....this tank is a beast and heavy so do stand it up on end im gonna have to call some broski help to let that kind of solution sit....or is it almost like a paste....and paste it on to the walls. Im willing to try anything at this point. But to be honest even if its hazed out for a free tank paint the one side black and make a nice tall scape on that side to bring the interest there and do the meatier corals on the opposite side

Don't think Muriatic acid is a viable option for you, too dangerous !!
I only used a few times , straight out of can w lil water , don't know percentage ,
outside ,rubber shoulder gloves, resp, eye protection, just scrubbed w holding tank and a couple poly tubs
then rinsed, then used box baking soda ,lil water ,wiped again, let dry, rinsed again .

Yea this is what i was afraid of....you can sand the iron side down cause it is a coating but unfortunately idk if i want to invest the time to do so.....its almost a slap it in the corner and go from there type of thing.....maybe why you didnt care to scrape there idk but for a free tank i dont think its a huge deal just wanted to make sure i at least tried everything before throwing in the towel.....

Sometimes, it's nice having a corner tank

If you end up having this problem or know someone who does check out the above post steel wool 0000 and spraying water can help tremendously just tested and gonna get after the whole side pane soon.....

That's honestly money
So in the last picture you cant even see thespray bottle on the over flow thats how that whole pane was started top right side within 15min completely clear as you can see in the first two pics the spray bottle in the same place.....this is crazy....

I always just did straight vinegar sprayed on and a razor blade. That got it enough that with water it wasn't visible.

Tried that.....i went through half a pack of razor blades a gallon of 5% vinegar and a gallon of the cleaning vinegar seriously tried everything.....except a higher concentrated acid.....was skeptical the post was from 2008 and was on a different forum the guy restored tanks for a living and idk if he still does or not but had to give it a try....the title was How To Remove Extreme Haze And Recondition Glass On An Aquarium......I read til 2am up at 7 finding what i needed and off to the store got back tried it on the drill and boom i was shocked everything i read was once glass is etched there is no coming back....but one article had a comment saying BS and to follow this guide clicked on it read and wow im surprised of the outcome...
