nitrates and sps

This the difference I witnessed in 40 days. My tank always had 0 nitrate and I moved it 50 miles. After the move nitrate spiked to 0.5ppm and stayed there for about 2 months.

This is a dslr picture of purple bonsai shortly after I got it. It actually has more color in this picture than the day it was moved

That just about sums it up. Still putting stump remover in a fish tank sounds like a crazy idea. But it seems like lot of people have great results with it.

It was probably a year after this before I started using stump remover. I really tried hard to get results in another way but it didn't work for me.

yea i k
Stump remover is just 100 % potassium nitrate
yea, I know. Im just saying it sounds crazy. I have my bachelors and masters in organic chemistry. So I get the underlying methodology. My background is one reason why I love reef keeping. Its like a very delicate dance. one misstep and kaplooey!
