So i just got three noopsyche lights yesterday. All three have something inside that rattles around a lot. Not feeling good about the lights so far as i assume if there is something in there rattling around it is supposed to be connected somewhere. Only tried one of the lights so far and it seems to work.

Curious if anyone else has experienced this? @noopsyche

Not sure if video will come through but this is what it sounds like.

following, have 8 yet to open...

I have 6 and none of them rattle.

Thanks. That makes me more concerned. Especially since all three of mine do. I have considered taking it apart, but concerned that will impact the warranty (or I wont be able to get it back together!).

It sounds a lot like a screw rattling around inside of the light. I think I would try to hold off on having them powered on until @noopsyche responds for fear of a screw shorting something out (it may not be a concern since there may not be anything exposed that could short...idk).
Have you tried turning the fan side down and shaking it to see if anything falls out from the fan opening?

Sorry I wish I could say that was normal but IME it isn't.
I would definitely wait on a response before taking it apart though.

Honestly, it just sounds like a small screw. Does it come apart easily? Maybe it would be easier and less hassle to just open it up, see if it's an obvious fix, and just fix it. Of course that would only be suggested if your good at that sort of thing. It could possibly void any warranties as well.

Yup I cant seem to get whatever it is to the fan side of the fixture I was hoping to get it to fall out and see what it is. Agree it sounds like a screw though.

Ya I agree I just hesitant because of the warranty. They do have one of those stickers right at the seam where it comes apart so it seems it would definitely be obvious if it is taken apart.

Did you buy any of the mounting hardware with it. If so are you missing any of the screws for mounting it. I know it would be really unlikely to have happen ecspecially on all 3 of them, just kinda thinking out loud.

Also, they seem to be pretty lax with what voids a warranty. I told them I was going to cut the power wire and splice a piece in to elongate it on one of my lights, and they told me it wouldn't void the warranty. I still probably wouldn't take one apart without asking first.

Due to time zones you can send them a PM or email and you probably won't get a response until sometime tonight.

just checked 2 of 8, no rattle.
definitely wait for noopsyche to reply.
Glad for you. Guess the luck was no with me! Or maybe my plane hit too kuch turbulence and rattled some stuff around :)

Ok..so i cant count!!

I had the same rattle, I sent the video to them. They said to open it and it wouldn't void the warranty, I am keeping that email in case they change their mind. But there was a screw in mine, everything was secure and no place was missing a screw so I think somebody over there was not paying attention.

Ah great that is good info. Hopefully that is the case with mine also and it was just an extra thats in there and not something that should be fastened to anything!

We have received 2 emails said that meet this issue. This is a conversation between one of the customers and NP service. I asked him to sent a video to us to determine what the noise was, and asked him to confirm whether the express package was damaged or any dents. He said that the outer packaging was intact, so the package was not treated rudely. According to the sound of his video, it is easy to judge that it is an extra screw. I asked him to take apart to take a look inside, after we allow it, it will not affect the warranty. He found an extra screw,

@mdb_talon We agree that you take it apart and take a look inside, it won't affect the warranty. Sorry for the inconvenience. I guess there is an extra screw inside. Please take it apart and take it out.
It should have been accidentally put in an extra screw, we will pay attention to it next time. Thanks for the feedback! !
