I’m having some nutrient problems in my ~4 month old 90 gallon tank. My nitrates have been around 40 and I’m shooting for around 25 in my lps/softie reef. I have been doing 10% water changes weekly with minimal results. Would you guys recommend I add an algae scrubber like the clear water one on brs or a DIY algae reactor which would be much cheaper? Or would a media reactor be better with carbon/gfo? I already have some purigen coming in the mail and I was thinking about adding chemipure also. Or should I just leave everything alone and rely on water changes since my tank is new? The weird thing is, after the diatom bloom which only lasted a few days I haven’t had much algae at all in the tank except for this lime green algae on the rocks.
Anyways, any suggestions would be much appreciated [emoji5]
