Thank you! Is it the actinic lighting (blue) that is messing with your photos?

Yep n crap point n shoot camera or cell phones for pics. We don't have a computer to do any real editing of photos to try and correct colors I posted few in our build thread.

All I use is an old $80 Canon PowerShot Elph 100HS. I usually use PIXLR, a free online editor to tone down the blue in the color balance along with adjusting the white balance on the camera. Here recently I acquired a gel filter which makes for really nice actinic photos and helps cell photos out ALOT. Here is one I found on Amazon. The one I was given is a dark orange. I hear the orange orange works well as well as the red for blocking out a lot of the blue color while shooting. Basically a sheet of plastic, pretty nifty and inexpensive though.

Very nice pick ups those solar flares look super bright. acros huge lol
Thanks Steve! Those solar flares are super bright! Maybe the brightest in my tank, not sure on that yet until I get them put with the rest. The Acro is a good size. He had this colony and 2 frags and cut me a deal on the colony so I went for it. I really wanted a yellow (or yellowish anyways) Acro. Now I just gotta find me a red one before I run out of room! :)

Did some rearranging in the tank yesterday. Got rid of a few pieces of rock to allow for a little more room vertically in the tank for these SPS's to grow big. A few other pieces got moved around as well, mainly the left side of the tank. I also removed the new acro from the concrete mound it was on and mouted it. I ended up openin up some more lighted area on my zoa garden rock as well so that is probably where I will focus now as far as coral purchases. Here are some photos I took last night.

Thanks! That's a little bit of a haul! Do be careful, there are idiots on the roads all across America.

Lost a chunk of that wild Acro colony the other day. Overnight one sections looked like the tissue had just peeled all the way off of it. Not sure of the cause yet, but I clipped of the bad area and dipped the coral and I has been placed in a rack in the sandbed for now. Here are some shots of it now and the piece I cut off, along with some other photos I took over the past few days.

Sorry about losing some of the acro that's a bummer. Pics look nice as always. Just got us a cheap laptop and trying to figure out pixlr n getting good accurate pics. Thank you for the help.

Thank! Yea, hopefully it will bounce back. It's mainly in the color balance with PIXLR, maybe some added contrast of vibrance if you feel obligated. :)
