Ph is 8.5!

Charge ur phone

And yea looks good to me interesting u do not have a wave like most ph does or maby it is just showed diffent then an apex

Where do you live that ur temp is 76 degrees ?

Man U have numbers most people dream of except battery percent that is

Ps API is great in that it gives u numbers but I would never put the life of my fish and corals in the hands of that test if u guys want to that's fine but in my opionion it's not even worth buying

The CO2 in the room, and pH of your aquarium have a direct connection that some don't pay attention to a whole lot. The amount of CO2 we produce from just breathing in the same room as our tanks can affect our pH drastically. You could get creative and possibly try not to keep so many windows open in your house/fish room to try and trap in the excess CO2 that we produce to drop the pH in your tank.

I have everything closed with the A/C running.

You could get a CO2 tank and start dosing like a planted tank. That should help bring it down and if you have the apex you could set it to come on when you're pH is too high

Don't chase the Ph. If other water params are good and the livestock looks good, nothing to worry about or try to lower.

Ok, but if I dose and it rises, what do I do then? You say to wait and if something doesn't look good then I should worry(paraphrasing) but I do t want to be reactionary once it's too late.

New question related to the post: What problem are you having which leads you to believe the pH needs to come down?

First off, any test kits can easily be off .1 or so. 8.5 is fine, relax. Mine swings from 8.0 to 8.5 all the time. Depends how much I'm running my ventilation in my house or if I open up some windows.

Best thing to do would be small water changes to gradually lower the PH.. even if the tests are bad, you can never go wrong with a water change.

Water changes are NEVER the best way to deal with any pH issue, unless it is cause by super high alkalinity (like 30 dKH). :)
