Please Help My Tank

They might pull through, you'd be surprised what coral can come back from. I have thought some was dead and after awhile came back... just have to have some patience and keep the environment in check [emoji106]

I hope everything works out because I am going of to a boarding high school in 2 months and my dad is going to take care of the tank while I am gone :)

I have found yet another problem:(

The edges of my favorite leather coral don't look to good. Do you guys what it happening and what I can do to help it? Thanks

How do your parameters look now? Did you get some kimd of phosphate test yet?

Leathers are pretty hardy. I have seen mine look pretty ugly for awhile and then a week or 2 later look just fine, wouldn't worry too much.

I don't have phosphate tests kits yet but all other parameters look good. I'll try to stay some phosphates tests as soon as possible. Thanks for all the help!

Hello everyone....seems I am still in this hobby! What's the deal with Baby Ray and his tank?
Buddy....if you wanna have a saltwater tank, especially a REEF tank....you've gotta gotta GOTTA INVEST in TEST KITS Ray! They are imperative!!!
1st....your parameters need to be known: salinity, temp, cal, dkH, mag, nitrates, nitrites, ammonia and phosphates. These are all basics YOU HAVE TO KNOW.
2nd....light schedule, feeding schedule, aka frequency.
3rd....Can you see any clear visual things wrong in your tank? "Like that HUGE giant red cyano carpet on your sandbed Ray!"
Come on bud....help everyone here to help you and your tank to be awesome. You need to setup a clear decisive and strict maintenance schedule for your tank. Believe me, with a strict schedule, your tank will be looking awesome in no time.
.......Get those test kits, KNOW your tanks parameters and setup a maintenance schedule for a clean beautiful healthy tank.
Good Luck Ray[emoji106]

Check all your parameters alk alone wont suffice. When my monti bleached imo it was low potassium. 300ppm.

Id also do a 80% water change with ro/di water at 35ppt. Also get more flow and gravel vaccume that gravel in there.

If your dads clueless about reefing have him learn here.

I did another water change last night and cleaned out all the algae from the rocks and sand bed but I woke up this morning to find my cleaner shrimp dead :(
He kilter last night and then got caught in the tentacles of my bubble coral and it killed him. I just want one good thing to happen!
