Please tell me your fox face experience?

Man, you are lucky. Guess mine was not fat enough. :) He actually ate everything I fed and did an awesome job on algae. I miss him.

Oh, my gosh! What in the world was I thinking. It was my copperband that went to a new home. My foxface stayed with me as I had to remove all those corals anyway because of my gorgs. Actually, he died with me not to long ago. Man, I was a bit tired yesterday. He was probably over 10 years old. Great fish once settled, but he did pick at some corals (similar to copperband). Never my clam though. Still too big for 90g.

I have had 2 one spots and they were both awesome. Well, the second I have now, and so far he's been awesome!

They are usually one of the first animals I get in a system, because of their voracious appetite for "it seems" any kind of algea. They are one of the few fish, that I feel comfortable in buying fairly small, as long as they look healthy.

Mine haven't bothered coral at all. They simply eat like crazy and get along with others. They have, especially the current animal I have, grown very fast. I purchased the animal I have now a little over a year ago at maybe 2 to 2.5 inches. Now, he's a good 6" and fat.. He is a hilarious guy, and of course, changed his color..

Great animal to say the least

mine has never touched a coral, always eating. He eats nori out of my hand when I go in to replenish the clip. I take the piece that was under the clip and feed him out of my hand.......lol

Have a Magnificent FoxFace and his cousin, a Scribbled Rabbitfish.
Both awesome fish.

Does the scribbled eat bubble algae? I am debating that or another try at a magnificent.

I loved my foxface, but one day after about a year he decided he liked the taste of zoanthids. He ate every last one in the tank. He was an interesting fish, but I don't think I would risk losing coral with one again.

I have a magnificent and he is absolutely a model citizen and my favorite. Good with tank mates, which include Bagai Cardinal, 2 Carp Flasher Wrasse, 1 Midas Blenny, a bunch of Zoa colonies and a bunch of LPS!

I really want a fox face in my tank but get worried about them nipping at corals. I see many people with success with them. Is there anyone in here that has had a negative experience with them?
I’ve had one for 2 months now and I love them. They keep my tank clean and are full of personality! I’ve never had issues with them picking at corals, and I have two lps in the tank. I always figured they’d do it if starving
