Guys,

I'm using by 2 weeks aquaforest only the products -np and pro bio F (what i have here in Brazil). i'm dosing 7 drops for each everyday due my tank is 700l (display + sump). my PO4 still getting 0.24. Also i'm using a rowaphos reactor.
What should i do?

Regards,

Flavio

you need Pro BioS the bacteria to go with the NP Pro, do you have Siporax, I know its very popular in Brazil ?

Also, realize it's not going to happen overnight. Your rock and sand could be leaching the PO4, keep dosing and add the Pro BioS as Gary mentioned. It'll take time, but it will eventually go down.

Thanks, i have 12L of siporax in my sump. Is it enough?

I made a mistake, i have Pro Bio S, not F.

The nutrients will come down but it's not an instant process

The rocks will be a store for nutrients

Just keep going as you are

Increased foste of np and pro bio S to 10 drops. Po4 keeps at 0.18 doing weekly wc (around 70l with po4 = 0)... Any tips?

@Anirban, follow the informations:

tank is 700l (display + sump)
Skimmer: SRO 5000SSS
Lightning: 4 AI HYDRA 52 (may be i need a better schedulle and program)
Refugium
12L of siporax
Return pump : DC 12000, eheim 1260
pumps in the tank: CP40 and a RW-15 (running in oposite time)

Dosing 14 drops of Pro Bio S and NP Pro daily.
Fishes: 2 firefishes, 3 clownfishes, 5 shrimps, 1 flasher wrasser
Running Phosphate minus at TLF 150 reactor half filled up
Parameters:

Kh: 8,5
PO4: 0.09 Hanna checker na 0 in salifert (it was swinging a lot, but since this week keep stable at 0.09)
Cálcio: 400
Mg: 1500 (expired test kit)
No3: 0

I feed my fishes one time a day, not have. corals with frozen food and live artemia one time a week every 2 weeks.

Whats the issue with the tank? It seems fine. The PO4 is already down and with time it will get lower. Is it Hanna ULR? Is this a new tank? If so why did not you use Bio S for cycling? Give it more time it will work.....

@eg8r210 i've always used siporax, 12L come from my old tank, so i'm using siporax since the begging of this new tank.

@Anirban The issues is that my sps (3 frags right now) is not coloring it up, also dont know if i have to use the the 4 color bottles yet.

Yes its the hanna checker 713

the tank is almost 10 months setup and i did not use Bio S for cycle due i discovered aquaforest only in this july when started to drop pro bio S and NP

If there just frags, give it some time. Some more finicky sps tend to stay brown for a while regardless of anyones water quality. Dont go crazy just yet with dosing stuff if its for that reason. Other then that, tank sounds like its doing great!

First thing, SPS colouring is highly dependent on light, nutrient level and growth pattern. A lot of acros when come as a frag take long time before they colour up. Generally once they are encrusted and the conditions are fine they start up showing their true colours. What are 4 colour bottles you are talking about? R u talking about A, B, E and V.

As far Bio S concern I can tell you a trick. Just add it as recommended for 14 days and then stop. Whenever you change water add it. You will be just fine and it will help in controlling the nutrients well and nitrogen cycle will run better.

@Anirban yes i mean the ABEV . I'm changing weeklly 10% of my water volumn with HW reefer salt (dont have aquaforest salt in my country yet)

Hello,
So if your adding Pro bio s only at water changes, how much or what % Like I have a 50 gallon tank so how many drops with a 10% WC?
Thanks, Larry

@Anirban any comments for you side?

For @Perry and @Anirban
Also, i would like clarify 2 points:
1 - what is the best place to drop NP and Pro Bio S? in facebook group, i saw people dropping, at sump, or at display tank but during the night tank time. what is the best place and time to dose?

2 - in the guide, there is a place saying that Bio F should be used together with pro bio S, is it only for the new tanks?

I remember reading people dosing Nitrate to get the phosphate down. My tank's parameters were similar so I tried dosing Calcium nitrate, now I'm fighting algae problem.
