So I have a 20 gallon cube and I think one of my Mexican turbo snails that is larger than a gold ball has been dead for at least a week or two. My glass is becoming coated in algae in one day, and my protein skimmer is picking up a lot of stuff. I still haven’t taken it out but was wondering if it’s gonna wipe out my tank

Have you checked the Ammonia levels? That is the one of the main things that would wipe it out!
I have no idea what the size of a "gold ball" means, I assume Golf?? Also you should get it out now using a cup so the remains don't spill into the water. You might want to do a 30% water change ASAP is if it as big as that.

How long has the tank been running? As long you have enough live rock or cycled dry rock you are fine. Your nitrates may spike but that can be brought down through water changes. Nothing to sweat.

What are your parameters? Any reason you haven't taken it out?
I haven’t checked my parameters recently as I’ve been super busy. I can’t check them tonight but I don’t want to take it out because it may release all of its ammonia when I lift it. Right now it’s on the sand and the shell is facing up so no cuc can access it

Biggest thing I’m worried about is the pure size of it. The thing is huge and right now it has weird tentical things growing off the shell

Got hermit crabs? Feed them. My big turbo snail died and got cleaned up by my hermits and cleaner shrimp overnight.

I meant golf ball. Thing is I can’t do anything tonight. Any suggestions?
