Possible problem. Need answers soon

API test are known to show .25 even when there is none, there are multiple posts here on R2R about this. Search for them & then make a decision on what test kits you want to use.
I’m not really concerned about getting a new test kit. I’m more concerned about if that snail is going to wipe out my tank overnight

Then. Take. It. Out.
I know I sound crazy to everyone not taking it out but I just can’t make our whole house smell like dead snail so late at night. Right now the best I think I can do is wait another couple hours until the morning where then I can test the water correctly and take the stupid snail out. Also thanks for all the help as I probably would have kept it in there if I didn’t ask about this.

Dude, take the snail out. Doesn't have to go in your trash, throw it in your lawn, the street, the gutter, whatever, but there is NO reason to leave that in there. You're encouraging your own "emergency" to get worse!

If you’re too busy to take 5 minutes to test your ammonia maybe you’re too busy to have a tank? Not to sound harsh but cmon. You took the time to post and add pics.
Id just scoop it up and see if it’s dead or not. If it’s dead it’ll continue to dump ammonia into the tank.

Agreed. I can test all my parameters in 20 minutes, that's Ammonia, Nitrate, pH, Alk, Calc, Mg, Phos, Salinity, these are required in most cases to test for a successful tank, especially at times like these.

Then take it out.
I took it out and can confirm it made my whole house smell for an hour. Wow those things are terrible. Luckily it was sealed until I started taking it out when it opened up so it probably didn’t leach any ammonia into the tank except when it opened it’s guts inside the tank

I'm sorry but your tank seems to already be suffering from a few things. moving out the dead snail won't hurt it. At this point it will only benefit it
I moved out the dead snail. Problem is the snails seal broke in the middle of taking it out so a tiny bit of snail flesh went into the tank( and probably a lot of ammonia) what should I do?

I think I made it worse by taking it out. The snail was closed before I took it so it spilled a little flesh into the tank and i don’t know where it went. Should this be a problem?

Ok I decided what to do after I just took it out. Just in case I’m going to do a 20 percent water change today and tomorrow and Sunday and I’ll dose prime so I can get any of the ammonia out

I'd run carbon for awhile also.
