Glad to hear it. I lost 90% of my fish last week to a 17 1/2 hour power outage. I include the 1/2 because I lost 50% of them in the last 30 mins before the power turned onYay, got the generator running. Now the main pumps on all 3 tanks are going along with fridge and deep freezer, fans and working on tv for grandson. Hope power gets on soon. This is not fun.
I have the icecap backup, it only lasted 3 hours. What a waste of money. So sorry for your loss. That is why I would not leave the tanks and still did manual stirring the water cause I was afraid they wouldn't get enough o2. Didn't want my pods and biofiltration to die off. Still no power, going on 19hrs. Have had enough. Ugh.Glad to hear it. I lost 90% of my fish last week to a 17 1/2 hour power outage. Ah, I feel for you. Stay strong. It’s worth it.Ok, still going strong with no power. Just ran out of gas in the generator so husband and son making a gas run. 81 degrees and 100% humidity in house. Ugh, no sleep.
Doyline Louisiana. Rural area by Lake Bistineau.what awful area is this that is powerless?! That's a long time to be without power....

Don't be jealous. There's a heat advisory for today.Well I’m still jealous of your weather but not your power grid....... although Cleveland named a beer after our ability to crash the power for a quarter of the country!
Still no power. Hering it will be possibly the 23rd at least before they restore it. Nothing I have seen is lost. In my 55gal hypo at tank my redline wrasse has not come out. I do have some sand for him in there. But the ammonia badge is still good so assuming he's just freaked out with me doing all the scooping and pouring. Going to pick up another generator but really don't know of we have enough money for gas to run one for 3 days. Ugh. Might have to take out all the cheato and put in a bucket in the sun for the day. Maybe it will hang in there? Possibly try cycling the generator 1 hr on 1 hr off?Curious to know how's things going? Is the power backup? Have you lost anything?
We checked the oil. For some reason it was choking itself kinda like a kill switch. Didn't figure it out. Took it back and explained what it was doing to brother in law. He rebuilds small motors so hopefully he figures it out.I did not see the part about the gen stopping until just now. That happened to me when I was running mine for 7 days during the aftermath of hurricane Irma. Took me a while to figure out it was just low on oil. A lot of gens will shut off if oil gets too low to protect the motor.
