PIA doesn’t fully QT! Same goes to TSM....
The only person who does it completely is Humblefish. Basically you write him what you need and he will take care of the rest. Highly recommended!!!!
Where are you located btw?

I've bought from TSM before. They have a marine biologist on staff who runs their QT protocols and they treat for everything. I would just reach out to them via phone but I believe they are in the process of a move so they might be tough to get in touch with. Great people and can get you any fish you want. I've only had positive purchases/experiences with them. I always like to do a qt/observation with any fish I buy from them, just to make sure its eating well/etc before I put it into my DT. IMO just too risky to put any fish right into a DT, especially if you have expensive healthy fish already in it. My minimum observation time is 3-4weeks btw. I won't dose anything unless I see something as I don't want to put a fish through another round of copper/GC/metro unless necessary. If it's a fish that I know hasn't been treated, that's a completely different qt protocol. Better to be safe than sorry as they say and do what you're comfortable with!

I am a satisfied Humblefish customer and I have absolute confidence in his fish. Send him an email or p.m, you wont be sorry!

I personally do not trust anyone else, especially in a lfs setting, to provide parasite free fish.

Are they still in operation? I’ve ordered from them before and was happy with the condition of the fish when I received them. I did still run them through a full QT, but he had decent prices and some more rare stock. I checked the website recently and it didn’t look active....

As far as I know they’re still active. The website doesn’t look to updated. I believe they moved the shop to a new location. I wouldn’t hesitate to buy fish from there.

Colby sold/passed PIA on to a different owner a year or so ago, but they are still in operation.

As someone who fully quarantines all livestock, I have mixed feelings about buying "prequarantined" fish since I only trust myself to qt. Therefore I would not want to pay the qt premium nor subject the fish to another round of chemicals/meds. On the other hand, the fish would come in healthier and eating, so there is that advantage. I see the appeal for those that do not qt, though.

Located in southern California, honestly I was hoping to get a couple fish, especially tangs (my display actually somehow decided to grow green hair algae to a plague level out of nowhere over the last 4 days) by the 27th of this month as it's my birthday and I'm having a bunch of guests over, since a single lonely Wrasse in a field of green hair algae doesn't look that appealing to people. Looks like humblefish mostly only gets stuff to order, so I don't think he would have any fish ready by the 27th.... I'm still gonna buy from him regardless but i was really hoping for a miracle [emoji28]

Interesting thing to note, it seems liveaquaria is implying biota captive bred fish are disease free, does anyone have any info that can back this up? Also how does liveaquaria work with biota, are these fish that are picked up from the wholesaler where they are labeled as biota captive bred (which means they could contract diseases or parasites while being kept there) or does liveaquaria have a more direct relationship with them that could bypass the possibility of contracting something on the way to the hobbyist? https://m.liveaquaria.com/category/5142/

When I’ve ordered Biota fish from live Aquaria they came from Wisconsin.

You mean if it dies with the seller? I believe you pay for the fish when it is shipped to you, but I’d ask Humblefish to confirm

I've got four from Humblefish so far and all were awesome! I'm also lucky to be so close to him so I can sneak in like I just did (will be my 5th) and get a reply like "I just had someone back out on one of those, so it's yours!". LOL, love it!! He's also spent so much time here, and other venues, just helping others. If he doesn't have what I "hope" to get soon he's also just as happy to give advice if I get it elsewhere.

I wish all could come from him though :)
