I been taking advantage of the 40% of at MD. SO far just got 3 boxes...Have 2 more coming . Got a lot of Brightwell stuff so I am stocked up, just gonna see what happens to prices as they get closer to final days, then may jump on more stuff I need

Milk, eggs, gas, bacon, freaking Monster energy drink sale price went up (lol), my pandemic go to (cold Reece’s Pieces)(Deadly), Plane Tickets, Taxes, fast food value meals, and I’m sure other things Have increased dramatically the last few months...Like others said everything except most of our wages.

waiting on deal for chiller... my current chiller is undersized for my 180g so it runs too long and I'm fighting heat in my tank - Marine Depot not yet liquidating chillers, but if anyone knows of chiller deals out there, please PM me

Yeah I was just on MD looking for ecotech pumps and the chillers are still full price. I am guessing all the good stuff that got a price increase or not like ecotech, kessil etc got pulled from MD and inventory is being moved to BRS since MD still shows old prices but out of stock....

Let’s not even get started about the price of chicken wings! And when I got home from the Sonny’s BBQ drive thru, two of my six wings were these micro-wings plucked off a newborn baby chick!

That’s another way of companies saving. Things will get smaller or less chips or m&ms in the bag. Easy way to increase price of product without actually increasing the price..

Is anyone running sulfer denitrators on their reef tanks ? Whats you view on them and do they work?

Also curious about sulfer denitrators. Almost jumped at the MD offer because of earlier post, but essentially think i can just use the reactor chamber I have but swap in sulfer instead of GFO or carbon or...

Watching post to see if anyone speaks up about sulfer (or I can just search......lol)

@1ocean and @Fish Think Pink, Marine Depo has the Korallin Suphur Biodenitrator package (with Ehiem pump and media) on liquidation for $260.99 -- I bought when when it was over $400-- even then it was incredibly hard to get, due to shipping containers being backed up. Anyway, I have a FOWLR, 150-gallons with about a 30-gallon sump. My Nitrates were more than 160 ppm when I set up the unit. For the first 4 weeks, nothing. Then week 5, a drop to 80 ppm. Then week 6, a drop to 40 ppm. I have a thread going if you want more details on the progress.

Very high inflation is inevitable at this point and the current administration says they wont raise the interest rate until 2023? This price hike is nothing. Hurry and buy anything expensive your thinking about now. Prices will be double on everything by 2023. Aquarium lighting, pumps, plumbing, water, And houses, cars ,food…….

I strongly encourage each of you to do your research prior to making blanket assumptions. I work in freight forwarding/logistics and I can tell first hand the massive impact the global shut downs have had on supply chains. These companies are not sitting in their office laughing maniacally about increasing their prices. They have to do this to stay in business. I could literally make this post 10 pages long; however, just google chassis / container shortage, or effects of the pandemic on global supply chain, and it should become clear.

There no doubt shipping prices have doubled due to the people making the shipping containers raising prices due to the current situation in the world. But make no mistake this is the tip of the iceberg.

Not even 6 months after closing, comparable values of new builds on my street (new development) are up 15-20% already. I should probably trade my car in this year as well

Yep. 3 sheets of 1/2” plywood and 4 8 foot 2x4’s to beef up the storage space in my attic cost me nearly $300!

Just got a quote from Carmax. 6k higher than I owe on my wife’s car! And am in the process of dumping any money I have left(that’s not designated for reef aquarium research and development) into a property.

sucks but everyone is going to be raising prices. There are cars sitting that can’t get chips - if a 40k car can’t get a chip to be sold then I imagine eco tech and everyone is having a hard time.

I bet you in a few months you’ll see increases across the board.
