Hello R2R Peeps,

I want to purchase Fritz Coopersafe but I really don't know where to get since my LFS only has Cupramine. Where are you guys getting it from? Let me know. Thanks.

You can still use copper safe. Just dose 1.25ml into 1 gallon when you get it. Test, id assume it to be around 3.0ppm (Much more detail in the link above that @lagatbezan shared) . If so, just adjust your dosing accordingly. If you need help figuring let me know.

What test kit do you have?

Thanks. Once it arrives I will definitly let you know if I need help. This is the first time I am dosing cooper.
Prazi Pro is easy but it seems cooper you have to really ensure you dont OD the tank

Also, when the coppersafe arrives you can post the batch number and I'll cross reference it to mine. Both bottles I bought, several weeks apart, had the same batch number and produced identical potency

I ordered the API cooper test kit with it from amazon.

Some people find the API kit easy to read while others, myself included, struggle with the color comparisons. Have you looked into the Hanna high range copper tester? It's only available on their site and has a 3-4 week backorder, but it is unbelievable how accurate it is. It's a bit pricey but again, given how accurate it is, it may be worth looking into. Either way, let us know what your batch number is when it comes in and we'll try to help you

Yeah I struggle with API color charts too. I have the hanna Test Kits for Calcium, Alk, and Phosphate and they are very accurate I just did not want to wait for the back order so I got the API.

I was going Coopersafe. There is an article on here talking about ionic cooper vs. Chelated

Coppersafe and copper power are both chelated forms of copper in case you were wondering. Ionic would be cupramine.

Coppersafe/Copper Power have a theraputic range of 1.5-2.0ppm

Cupramine much lower with a theraputic range of .35-.50ppm

Coopersafe arrived today. I have a 29 gallon tank. So I did the math and it look like I will need 36.25mL according to the instructions.
I did not dose all of that. I am spliting the doeses into 3 and I am doing 12mL every other day. I did not see any numbers on the bottle itself but I did get this I am guessing this is the batch number
