Coopersafe arrived today. I have a 29 gallon tank. So I did the math and it look like I will need 36.25mL according to the instructions.
I did not dose all of that. I am spliting the doeses into 3 and I am doing 12mL every other day. I did not see any numbers on the bottle itself but I did get this I am guessing this is the batch number

Do NOT dose according to the bottle. Also, I don't see the batch number. It should be next to expiration date

If you dose according to the bottle you'll likely end up at 3-4 ppm instead of the suggested 1.5-2.

Also, instead of doing 3 large doses, I'd split them up more. Do 3-4 smaller doses a day over the 3 days

That's odd.. My batch number is right above upc(barcode)

Ok I will do 4 small doses a day that makes very good sense. I will also test levels.

Different batch number.

What I would recommend doing is pouring a gallon of water into a bucket and dose .8ml then test with API. I know they're a bit difficult to read but, according to my batch, that should be 1.79 or orangish...but not quite as orange as 2ppm.
I would then dump that water, pour in another fresh gallon and dose 1ml and test. According to my batch that was right around 2ppm(1.07ml was 2.07ppm for me). This SHOULD give you an idea of what therapeutic will look like. Again, I had a different batch so it may vary

That's just the UPC number used for scanning the price... that's not a batch number. It should be stamped somewhere on the bottle or cap, maybe on the bottom of the bottle.

EDIT: Nevermind...lol, you all type faster than I do...i see now that you've found the batch code already!

I am getting a Hanna Tester. I can't go thru this on another QT session.
Cu Test.jpg

Can anyone read that lol? Best guess?
Somewhere between 1.0-2.0ppm. closer to one from the pic.
But, test best read outdoors in indirect sunlight, hold the tube 1/4-1/2" above the card.

What did you dose?

Btw that looks like a perfect match to my bottle that is 3.0ppm if dosed per instructions. That is using the Hanna tester to verify.
USE CAUTION!

I'd also guess between 1-2, how much have you dosed so far?

20 mL so far. I think I am at the therapeutic level. I thought it look like 1.5 to me but hey what do I know other than I am getting a Hanna

So two weeks from the The fish would have been in QT a total of 6 weeks with a total of two weeks of Cooper. How do I ensure no cooper makes into my DT give the fish a saltwater bath before enter DT?

So about .68ml/g. @HotRocks is this in line with your dosing with same batch?

If his bottle is same as mine. This is where he would be. Not to mention API test is close to that.
I'd take it up to 2.0ppm

Has the tank been fallow 76 days(if fish were in dt)? Plus, the fish really should be in copper for 30 days

If I was you, I would add 4 more ml. See if your test result is around 2.0ppm.

This would also confirm your bottle is 3.0ppm like mine, and give you an exact color to match to.

Riding at 1.65 is too close to be safe with using the API kit IMO.
