So two weeks from the The fish would have been in QT a total of 6 weeks with a total of two weeks of Cooper. How do I ensure no cooper makes into my DT give the fish a saltwater bath before enter DT?

I would recommend 30 days of copper in QT, then 14 days of observation still in QT no meds after copper is removed.

Copper can be removed by means of water change, you can also add a carbon filter, or cuprisorb pad to remove the remaining residual.

Even if you net the fish right out of copper into DT you wouldn't transfer enough to be harmful. It's best to observe the fish though prior to DT placement to make sure you have erradicated the affliction.

Has the tank been fallow 76 days(if fish were in dt)? Plus, the fish really should be in copper for 30 days
I curretly have fish in dt I am qt because I got fish from lfs so keep them in copper for 30 days ok. I just ddont want to bring anything to my happy dt so I thought 6 weeks qt would do it

These fish that are in QT, have always been in QT since you brought them home correct? Never introduced them to DT?

Nope never introduced them to DT. They have been in QT since March 6th and I had just been observing to ensure that the Powder Blue was eating like he was at the store. I did not start meds because I knew I had 4 baby 1 inch Lyretail Anthias coming and I wanted to start meds all at once. The Lyretails did not arrive until March 20 and I needed to give them a few days as well to ensure they were eating in which everyone eating very very very well. The first round of Prazi Pro started on March 23 2018. Waited a week and did water changes every 4 days to ensure Prazi Pro was out of the water. So from march 30, 2018 I observed to ensure no side effect from Prazi everything seemed good still. I did not want to over do Prazi because I knew I was going to be going the extra mile with the Copper. So there was an observation period from March 30, until April 09,2018 which was the first dose of Copper and this brings us up to last night April 10, in which I gave a pick of my Cu results. I am dosing slowly to the therapeutic margin. I thought The QT period would end on April 27 which was 6 weeks but I am extending the Copper for an additional 2 weeks making it a month so the QT period will actually span roughly 2 months. So far so good.

Sounds like you have a good plan to me!

The Extra two weeks in Copper cam from you @HotRocks lol so thanks. And the more I think about it It can never hurt to keep a Powder blue Tang in copper a little while longer. I think we can all agree to that lol.

You're welcome! 30 days is a must IMO. There are rare cases of ich surviving copper even past the 30 day period due to a longer life cycle. That's why the 30 days is recommended, and usually successful.
