A friend asked me that question too, but I was too focused on mounting and other things that I never paid attention. I’ll try to observe today and report back. I know the meso blue bars have a nice subtle shimmer, which is nice coming from a bar.

Would you mind posting a video? Looking for options for my 180. Probably going to stick with Reefi but the bars are on my list for shading. Who knows the atlas may be too.

Got my Reef Crest daylight Helix in and wow is it WHITE but I know that’s just my eyes seeing only the 4000k and cyans.

Glad that he’s no longer using green diodes. That causes weird banding on my older style Quanta Reef Crest bars.

It does seem like there’s greens as well. What do you mean by banding?

We’ll see if I have time to swap it out for my meso blue over the weekend. I thought I could just swap but I have to pull my whole fixture down to fiddle with the little nuts.

I'll post about it Friday or Saturday when mine arrives and I set it up. It will be a qualitative comparison to a single Kessil a360x over my tank.

I'm looking to pick up a Helix for a frag tank, but really undecided on Meso Blue or Reef Crest spectrum.

Meso Blue is too blue and Reef Crest has too much white. If anyone picks up both, please post pics for comparison. It takes both of these together to make the typical AB+ spectrum.

I’m curious to see the helix as well. I have 2 of the reef crest bars (the previous gen before helix name) and they are VERY white. I only have them on for 6 hours at my peak light to supplement my Hydra 32’s

I adapter my Hydra schedule to turn off white channels for the 6 hours that the bars are on and that helped a lot. But on their own they are very white
