Rapid led build for the 14 biocube

So par meter came in and holy cow I was not expecting these numbers at all. I can now see how coral can be burnt so easy. What I thoughts was going to be around 200ish par was 483!

I have since adjusted the lights and whites are running at about around 20% and blues are around 40%.

You know what Salty says about setting new light after having first tested the lux of the previous light. ..glad you found out quickly. ..:-)

Was not able to get the par rating of the previous light but I'm sure the power compacts didn't put out that much.

Everything seems to be very happy. Here is the tank as of last night.

So I picked up a few more for the tank....so stoked!!! I'll get better pics when they come out, these were taken when I put them in the tank last night.

From left to right--gold torch, blue hornet, WWC bubble gum pink, Rasta, magician, utter chaos.

About 200 + give or take.

Have you looked at controllers for ramping and timers?

I just hacked a current orbit for my refugium.

Lol. By hacked , I put in a splitter and a larger supply.

I have looked into it but not for the nano lol. I just wanted to get better/ adjustable color and more light to house the coral I want.

Ok so I completed the build. Mounted the potentiometers and mp10 controller on the stand. Got all the wires tied up and out of sight. I did change out some leds and will prob changes more to get the color and intensity I want per channel. I'm so glad I did it and love the results. I'm in the process of adding reactors with carbon and gfo to polish up the water.

Here it is all done. Turned out nice and nice to be able to dial my light in with the knobs on the side. Also got the reactor hooked up. Time to get the water polished and looking pristine!!

I did not top your new 6 today, but I did come home with a mushroom that wasn't even for sale. I think he sold it to me so I'd stop drooling on his tank.
