Sorry for the delay. This will have to hold you all over for a while. My dad passed away on Saturday night so we are busy with funeral arrangements and family matters. Came away from Ultimate with a few new pieces.
See if you can pick them out?

Slowly getting back to normal. Big loss. It's going to be a while getting used to the idea of dad not being around. We have been taking care of him for the past 7 years since my mom passed. Now they are together again. He died on her birthday. Some present. Thanks for all the kind words.... It's appreciated at this tough time.
Tank is doing well. Added a new Frank. Some of you may remember we have not had much luck with lawnmower blennies. Frank 3rd is quite big! Huge personality. New corals include a meat, another brain, a mini scoly, and an acan my wife had to have. Big thanks to Mark @hcker99 All are doing exceptionally well. Forgot the harlequin. Beautiful specimen. Eats like a pig. (So much so I'm starting a starfish tank just to keep him well fed) The skimmate collector is doing its job, swabbie came back from Avast working perfectly. Just nothing than great things to say about Dan and his team. I'll get it installed and tuned shortly.
Meanwhile here's a short video of this mornings activities. If you look close you'll see Frank 3 sticking his head out of the center rock.

So with harlequin come starfish. I like to feed frozen but I also like them to get fresh food from time to time.....so I started a star only tank! Little bitty thing 5 gallons. It's mid cycle now. Once it comes ready I'll add a few CC stars. Sorry fellas but the shrimp needs to eat you!
That and I'll use this as a fuge for pods. I'll get pics up shortly.

Swabbie installed and tuned. What a great device.
Star tank still cycling.
Everything good. Almost. Noticed a few bristle worms going after the harlequins starfish leg. So we got a trap. OMG. We caught about 35-40 so far. I know they are part of a good clean up crew but if they steal the harlequins food source they got to go. God are they gross.

Holy moly. I got to cut down on feeding. We are up to 100 bristle worms just this week. We are averaging 10 a night. It's not as bad as some of the other infestations I've read about, but it sure is a lot more than I prefer. We may break down and add a wrasse. Hate to add a fish just for this though.
WC all around yesterday. Been feeding the star tank and it's just about ready. It's been seeded with a nice paly rock from my 75. Starting to see signs of coralline on the newer rocks. Maybe another 2 weeks and one more WC and I'll add some stars.
Installed the LARGE Davy Jones Skimmate locker this morning. It's another quality piece from Avast. Ignore the mess in the cabinet photo. I'll neaten up next time I empty this behemoth.

So we are still netting about 8-10 worms a night. Going to add a second trap. WC today, then new pics tomorrow. The skim mate collector is great. Two weeks in and it's about half full. Swabbie also great. I can go a week or more without cleaning the cup. Life is good with less chores!

So harlequin rarely eat brittle stars...rarely?
And we welcome Mel, the melenarsus wrasse to the tank. I'd shoot a pic of him but he burrowed into the sand and is hopefully eating worms as we speak.
Also added a couple new corals courtesy of Mark @hcker99 but they are acclimating now..pics later.
Plus there are now three cc stars in their own tank awaiting the diner bell for the harlequin.

Happy Easter.
Sad news. Mel died yesterday. He was eating and swimming just fine. I think he may have hurt himself burrowing in the coarser sand bed as his sides looked pretty beat up.
Anyhow everything else is great so here's a short video;

Today's short video. Everything is doing great. Just finished maintenance for vacation. Still trapping bristle worms. Not as many lately so we are making some progress. Just hope the population doesn't explode while we are away for a few days! Just saw a couple heads of aptasia on the base of one of the brains. I'll treat it with aptasia X when I get back just to end that threat.

Survived vacation just fine. No issues. Still getting good catch rate on bristle worms. Just calibrated all my probes. It's something I've overlooked for a while but I saw numbers drifting and didn't pay attention. Now all probes are back to normal. Added a couple new corals last weekend. New Duncan and my first stick. I'll get video up today or tomorrow.
